Did you noticed the 2GB download size? Watched a trailer/interview (possibly the one here, not sure), and they said Eidos is using the complete Tomb Raider engine, and once you see the size of some of the levels, you'll definitely believe it. Not to mention the particle effects on the gun shots, which look simply beautiful. Well, as good as a gunfire in a 3rd person asometric view could look on XBox Live. Seriously, the game is easily better than half of my 250+ XBox 360 library (XBox 360, not Live Arcade) and it's being sold for only 1/4th the price of the other titles. I'm about halfway through right now, and I'm hesitant to finish, because I know I'm going to want more.

Re: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

I tried out the free download 'Destination' on XBox Live Arcade today, and it's pretty nice as it has a 'find similar' option. I gave it a whirl on Laura Croft: GoL, and it found a game called Alien Breed Evolution. After downloading, I quickly played it, and sure enough, it's a LOT like Laura Croft: GoL. In Alien Breed, you're on a ship that's been damaged (think Dead Space), and is infested with multiple types of aliens. It's a 3D/Asometric view just like Laura Croft, and you even fire the gun EXACTLY the same, by moving the right analog stick and holding the RT to fire. You can change weapons the same way as well with the D-Pad.

I bought Alien Breed Evolution, and while it's definitely good, is just a little less satisfying than the Laura Croft: Guardian of Light game. Still worth a buy, and a good game for those who enjoy the Laura Croft gameplay and want more of it, even if it's in another game/genre.

Re: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

Great news! 5 Updates coming for the game!

The title does not support online cooperative play presently, but Crystal Dynamics promises to patch it in at a later date.

          Lara vaults to the PSN.

Guardian of Light will receive five add-ons, which will be made available from October through December. The first three will be expansions featuring new "puzzle, exploration, and combat experiences," while the last two will include new playable characters for the game. Crystal Dynamics did not say who the characters would be, noting only that they will be well-known figures pulled from a range of Eidos titles.

I tried out the demo last night on the PS3. It was really good. I'll definitely be buying the full game soon. I like the camera angle (like Marvel Ultimate Alliance) and gameplay. Normal difficulty seems too easy so I'll probably pump it up to Hard. I want to try the co-op yet with my son.

Got this game for free on Ps3 thanks to Gamespot i guess it alright it not really my cup of tea, maybe ill play it more once they add the online coop patch

When u get trinket items does that become part of your ability or do u need somehow activate them?
Kenny: Ok Vic, I'm ready for some girl on girl action.
Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
              Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
              Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!

              Captain Tenneal: Get it on!

Both. You get to choose 3 to use. You have to activate them, and then they bump up your abilities (some have bonuses and negatives).

I couldn't find a thread for it, so I thought I would bump this one. Anyone played the Temple of Osiris follow up? It's awesome fun, just like the first one with even more guns, cut scenes, big monsters, and special effects.
