I guess you get to choose your party for the Leviathan area after you get freed, but when I was playing, Bastila ordered the others to the ship and Carth was all intent on killing Saul, so I just let him stay. I'll set him for grenadier and let the real men, err, Jedis do the work.

Found a way to get past the Rancor on Taris without throwing a single grenade. Before you enter the Rancor layer you will find a severed arm. Make sure to take the odor device. Enter the rancor layer and go to the pile of bones. Instead of taking the frag grenades, place the odor device in the pile of bones. The rancor will smell the odor and procede to eat...and the rest is history.Comment
