Hmm...you don't have any of the feats to resist mind, eh?

Or items? He rarely stunned me...are you a 20th level, or lower?

I'd have to look and see if I have any items that might affect my mind. I didn't go for any kind of force suppression type kind of feats. Unfortunately I think I'm a 16th level Jedi. I think the book said it would be harder for me to level up if I was a scoundrel.

Hell if I wasn't at work I could try all these things out.

That's a huge part of it. As a 20th level soldier with a lot of mind resist (I hated getting stunned), it was a breeze. As a 16th level scoundrel, not a huge fighter? Ouch.

That's what I was thinking last night. I just may not have made the best choices reguarding force powers, feats, ect. to beat Malaak. My guy is still a bad a$$, but he may not be good enough to beat Malaak. My success hinges on the luck of the roll. If the rolls that I make cause me to miss a lot I will die a quick death. If I get lucky enough to get some good rolls 50-60 damage range, I'll have a chance to hang with him for a little while.

I hope I'm not doomed to never beat Malaak, because of the choices I've made.

They call that "replayability", my friend. Now you get to start over (or from an earlier save) and replay a lot of the game

Either that, or it's a huge blunder on LucasArts' part on not preparing all characters the same at the end. Gee, which one.

Personally, I think as a light sider, you should get to take Bastila or a buddy with you. You never saw the truly nasty villains get taken on 1-on-1 by a lightie in the movies (to start). They were too powerful for the wussy good guys. Vader killed Obi-Wan. Darth Maul took on Qui-Gonn and Obi-Wan, and got Qui-Gonn alone and trashed him. There's a reason Dark Siders are more powerful...they just kick ***.

They should have evened it out by allowing you to bring Bastila to that final fight.

you guys mentioned force resist, but what other jedi powers would be good for fighting Malak? I don't want to load up on cool dark side powers, and find out that none of them work on Malak. Especially since I'm a scoundrel/consular which means my saber fighting won't be as good as a soldier/guardian by far
