    Re: Little Big Planet 2

This game, amazingly, deleted my save file on both of my PS3s requiring me to completely play through Da-Vinci's again. None of this bothered me as I've beat the game before and just like playing user-created levels... but what did bother me was having to play through that first-world again. So, back up your game saves, I'm not sure why that happened but I saw other LBP forum posts about it around as well.

That makes no sense... If I was designing this game that would've been a top priority...

Do you not keep your ps3 online all the time? I never considered it an issue that you don't save levels because you just heart the ones you like and that keeps a list of your favorites. Or its it because you want the level to load faster?

Yeah not online all the time...

But it's just the general idea of it as well, that the game relies on external servers, and so will likely become obsolete a lot quicker. Servers will go down eventually, and there's already games from this generation that have lost features this way.

The industry is sort of stuck in between the established way of offering complete titles to own, and offering online gaming, and so you see stuff like this.

        All ties severed...

I really have no idea how people are able to do that. It takes me 10 hours just to create a mind-numbingly simple level.

Where is the save file for LBP2?

I have a dying PS3 and I want to try to get the save file on to a USB stick but I can't find the file.

I tried the Game Data files but those are protected.

Unfortunalty I believe that's where they're stored. In the game data files.

You can export files straight from the game itself, somewhere in one of the pause menus. You might have to import them the same way.

Thanks for the quick response, but I can't start the game at this point.

I have about 30 seconds before the system freezes.

Don't give up hope though, there must be some other way.

Anyone give the Toy Story level kit a try yet? I would assume it would be worth $6, unless something has happened to Media Molecule's quality since Sony purchased them.

I'm very LTTP on LBP2, I rented this from GF this past week and kept it for $20. I will say that this is way much better than the first LBP in terms of controls. The controls drove me up a wall in the first game.

You went all acronym crazy there and I had to remember the late to the party reference lol.

I agree, I have both and LBP2 is much better, I also love the grappling as well. I did the same thing with it, rented it then kept it for $16 or so. Well worth it.

LOL! I can go acronym crazy sometimes, some of it has rubbed off from my job which the place has acronyms for everything.

I really like GF, this game is like $40 or $60 if you get the GOTY version and I got to keep it for much less which is well worth it to me.

This game is so much better. I was playing with both my sons earlier and now watching my son play. The community levels have really come a long way. I was reading its way much easier to create levels now too.
