I mostly play TDM (Merc when I'm not with the PS3 OS guys - hate playing against organized teams when I'm not on one), and I guess my favorite map is either the one with the big opening floor panel in the middle (Radiation I think), or WMD. Lots of different styles on that map.

Cracked and Array are my top two. I pretty much only play TDM.

Radiation and Crisis are my favorite, as I do best on those. Nuketown is fun, but getting stuck in the loop isn't.

I mostly play strictly TDM, mercenary style, unless I'm with a party. I've played domination a few times and hated it. Barebones Pure is a lot of fun as well.

            I like WMD also.

            I'm beginning to hate launch.

I thought BC2 (maybe unintentionally) made a great decision to emphasize score per minute.

It drives me insane when I'm playing Domination and my clownshoes teammates won't help capture flags because they know they're target practice if they do so. PLAY ANOTHER GAME MODE.

I honestly really like Nuketown. I have so many planned out paths in there that it never gets old making my way across the map then up the stairs of the houses to kill the little douchebags camping out in the bedrooms. Then, once I get my napalm strike, I drop that on top of the enemy spawn where the rest of them are inevitably hiding and camping. Nothing better than finishing 30/7 and listening to little kids bitch about getting owned.

BTW, I still like the K/D stat to get a gauge on how I'm doing. I'm all about teamwork, but if I see I'm going 3/17, that's obviously not much of a help to the team either. I must be one of the few people who can care about K/D, teamwork, AND still have hot chics undress in front of me in real life?

WMD and Crisis are my favorite maps. Havana and Summit are my least favorite and Launch is beginning to move up into hated territory. Strangely I don't hate Jungle, but I'm awful whenever I play there last night in three matches I was seriously like 10/35 K/D in TDM.

TDM is mostly what I've played, though I'm about to try some other game types today. S&D left me disappointed.

I've done that a fair few times on MW2, as it was the only thing I could do in the game that didn't annoy me. Got me a lot of points.

My friends love S&D. I do not. Its just a bad style of game for me. When I play TDM I almost always start out poorly. Then I'll figure the other team out get a nice streak and end with good numbers. S&D is like the first two minutes of TDM over and over.

I'd absolutely love S & D if I played with only OS'ers (I played a ton of Counter-Strike back in the day, and still have Source installed on my PC). The problem is, randoms typically treat it as nothing more than Team Deathmatch, and that's a REALLY good way to lose and lose often in Search and Destroy.

No man, I'm with you. I usually play Ground War and I'm constantly checking my K/D. Usually after every couple of deaths I'm seeing what it is. At the same time though, Im always communicating on the mic and will sacrifice myself to get a cap. I can't count how many times I've decided to not run from a grenade being thrown at a flag I'm trying to cap, only to die and have my teammate finish off the cap. In the end though, I play this game for fun and to be good at it, and K/D ratio (along with score per minute) are the best ways to determine how good you are. Right now my K/D is 1.25 and climbing. And for the record, I've had girls blow me while playing Black Ops.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Skulls are for dead teammates, so chances are there's an enemy nearby that spot.

Word of advice before you hop online and starting playing people that have had the game for a week now play combat training it a simulation of playing online but u are playing against the computer good way to turn learn stuff
Thanks, guys. I did spend some time in training before I hopped on for real. I know some said they don't think sniping is worth it but I think it's great. I find myself getting more kills with that than other set ups.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

Im a huge fan of Domination games. Since there are always 3 points on the map that are in the process of needing to be controlled, it gurantees action at some point.

Tried the team deathmatches and stuff and just seemed like it was a camp fest. I like the games with objectives the most.
