What is easiest way to go far on zombies? My friend somehow got 34 rounds by himself so I know there is a trick to it.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Double XP weekend Feb 4-6, looking forward to this but I'd still rather have good PS3 servers. You can't have everything I guess.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Plus, lets remember that the DLC is only coming out for the 360 next week, and the servers on the 360 work fine!
Also I just realized that you never said anything about the DLC in your post haha. Consider this a reply to the people that have mentioned DLC vs. server issues the last few pages.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
Over all, throughout Sony's history, their servers has always been terrible when it comes to certain kinds of games. Keyword being certain.
I remember their servers being bad for Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, Modernwarfare 2, Medal of Honor, and half of the sports games are spotty at best. But then you got some games where their servers perform extremely well.
That in the nut shell is the PS3. Lack of consistancy. To this day I never understood how some games work well online for the PS3 but then you have just as many other games that don't work well online for the PS3.

I think it's because multi-platform games are ported on the PS3, which could be the problem.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
I have no clue why they patched it. I don't sit in on their meetings. I'm guessing it was because everyone was complaining how "noob" or too powerful it was. Which brings me back to disagreeing with it. I've been killed by the AK74U but not because it's a noob gun. I've been killed by the FAMAS or the Commando much more then the ak74u, should they be patched also?
This whole game must be noob.
But, you know, people have to be winning all the time and when they aren't they won't acknowledge that it's them and rather find something within the game to blame it on.
I stopped caring about what's "noob" a long time ago. I play to have fun and I will use whatever guns I want and play how I want. It's just a game.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

I co-sign this post. It's not the guns it's players, I'm sick of hearing people saying how this and that are overpowered blah blah blah. No, nothing is overpowered. Some people are just good.

That specific combo, I feel, is overpowered, because it is horribly unrealistic for a rapid fire gun to have no recoil. (I feel Rapid Fire, should be like underbarrels and be the only attachment you can get, but I digress)
The gun as a whole, while MP40-ish, isn't "overpowered." The Rapid Fire/Grip combo is easily the cheapest thing on the game, helping crap players do well and great players be unstoppable.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
It doesn't take ANY TALENT to run the Ak74u rapid fire grip combo at all. When a gun fires that fast and has NO RECOIL AT ALL, it unbalances the game a lot, when you can put 3-4 bullets in the guy and have a CLEAR jump but yet he still magically kills you.

Also, if you're putting 3-4 bullets in a guy and still getting killed, I wonder if your system has some lag. I never noticed lag on any of my games until Black Ops when I thought I was nailing a guy before he got me, but then the kill cam shows he hit me first. I adjusted my TV settings and now that rarely happens.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
You're exaggerating just a little. There was recoil with the grip and rapid fire, just not enough. I've used the ak47u a lot and I've been killed by it a lot. I've found that the best defense is not to run too much unless you're trying to get to cover. That lessens the change of charging around a corner where someone is waiting with this gun and can nail you before you get a shot off. That can be tough on the smaller maps, but on maps like Array and Jungle, a little patience and keeping your eyes open helps a lot.

Den Kirson made an excellent post on his forum of stuff that he thinks need to tweaked to more balance the game. http://denkirson.proboards.com/index...ad=2319&page=2 Post #55Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
You are right. The 74u doesn't need nerfing, it's that the other SMG's need beefing up. Overpowered? No. Overpowered compared to the other SMG's? Maybe just a little.
