They didn't even nerf the AK74U, only the Grip attachment on it because Grip was making it re center at an insanely high rate.

What is easiest way to go far on zombies? My friend somehow got 34 rounds by himself so I know there is a trick to it.

Double XP weekend Feb 4-6, looking forward to this but I'd still rather have good PS3 servers. You can't have everything I guess.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Unfortunately a release date of DLC and a developers ability to fix server performance are not really related. Activision orders up DLC from Treyarch and picks a price point and release date. The developer does not have any say in that. Improving server performance is one Treyarch to do so on their own basically.

Plus, lets remember that the DLC is only coming out for the 360 next week, and the servers on the 360 work fine!

Also I just realized that you never said anything about the DLC in your post haha. Consider this a reply to the people that have mentioned DLC vs. server issues the last few pages.

Over all, throughout Sony's history, their servers has always been terrible when it comes to certain kinds of games. Keyword being certain.

I remember their servers being bad for Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, Modernwarfare 2, Medal of Honor, and half of the sports games are spotty at best. But then you got some games where their servers perform extremely well.

That in the nut shell is the PS3. Lack of consistancy. To this day I never understood how some games work well online for the PS3 but then you have just as many other games that don't work well online for the PS3.

They need to start sharing their knowledge.

Yeah, it's not very often that I hear good things about PS3 servers for online games. A lot of multi-platform games have online issues on the PS3, but work fine on the xbox.

I think it's because multi-platform games are ported on the PS3, which could be the problem.

I co-sign this post. It's not the guns it's players, I'm sick of hearing people saying how this and that are overpowered blah blah blah. No, nothing is overpowered. Some people are just good.
But, you know, people have to be winning all the time and when they aren't they won't acknowledge that it's them and rather find something within the game to blame it on.

I stopped caring about what's "noob" a long time ago. I play to have fun and I will use whatever guns I want and play how I want. It's just a game.

It doesn't take ANY TALENT to run the Ak74u rapid fire grip combo at all. When a gun fires that fast and has NO RECOIL AT ALL, it unbalances the game a lot, when you can put 3-4 bullets in the guy and have a CLEAR jump but yet he still magically kills you.

That specific combo, I feel, is overpowered, because it is horribly unrealistic for a rapid fire gun to have no recoil. (I feel Rapid Fire, should be like underbarrels and be the only attachment you can get, but I digress)

The gun as a whole, while MP40-ish, isn't "overpowered." The Rapid Fire/Grip combo is easily the cheapest thing on the game, helping crap players do well and great players be unstoppable.

Most of the first party games to me are far better for online on the PS3 than multi-platform games.

You're exaggerating just a little. There was recoil with the grip and rapid fire, just not enough. I've used the ak47u a lot and I've been killed by it a lot. I've found that the best defense is not to run too much unless you're trying to get to cover. That lessens the change of charging around a corner where someone is waiting with this gun and can nail you before you get a shot off. That can be tough on the smaller maps, but on maps like Array and Jungle, a little patience and keeping your eyes open helps a lot.

Also, if you're putting 3-4 bullets in a guy and still getting killed, I wonder if your system has some lag. I never noticed lag on any of my games until Black Ops when I thought I was nailing a guy before he got me, but then the kill cam shows he hit me first. I adjusted my TV settings and now that rarely happens.

You are right. The 74u doesn't need nerfing, it's that the other SMG's need beefing up. Overpowered? No. Overpowered compared to the other SMG's? Maybe just a little.

I agree, they needed to even out the SMGs somehow. I've only played a couple matches since the update and it seems better. I now only use the ak47u on occasional Nuketown and Firing Range matches depending on who I'm playing. I used to use it from time to time on any map except Jungle.
