Finally had a few good games on the new maps.

Almost beat an entire clan by myself (more or less) with 25 of our 46 kills. They only won with 49 and I almost had a double kill at the end to bring it to within 1 but time ran out. It was 5 on 4, one of my teammates had 13 kills, the others had 5 and 3...all had 10+ deaths.

They haven't said anything, but both packs for MW2 came out on the PS3 and PC a month after Xbox, so probably.

I tried to find some info on this last night and there's no official word, but a lot of people seem to think March 1. But since the PS3 store updates on Thursdays, that would mean March 3. Oh well.

PSN store updates on Tuesdays now, so the map pack would most likely be released on March 1st.

I personally hate the new maps.

Stadium is just so bad. People just camping up top in the windows picking off anyone on the bottom just pisses me off....but what is more frustrating is that all of what is bad in Black Ops shows...the bad hit detection, how the guns need to do more damage- I shot a guy point blank with 2 bursts of G11- he turns around camping at a window and kills me...random grenades and so on and so forth.

I don't like Discovery, but I donno...maybe I will end up liking it but it just seems like a bad approach at making a CoD 4 like map with 3 choke points and such. But those choke points are way too small to even venture through imo.

Berlin Wall is great plain and simple.

Kowloon...I am on the edge at this point. I liked it at first but as anyone reading this can see- I hate window campers just waiting to pick off people running around doing their thing and there seems to be a lot of that and you can't possibly look at every window while trying to run around but that allows for a lot of flanking and such since there are a lot of ways to move around.

I don't really like Stadium that much - it feels like a more clustered Nuketown with more windows - but I'm beginning to like the other three.

I love them, although I haven't played Stadium yet. The other three are all completely unique and bring something new to the game. Kowloon is all about knowing where people are going to be, and maneuvering the many buildings to flank them. Berlin Wall is great. I love the detail in the difference between east Berlin and west Berlin, and I think the auto-turrets in no-man's land are very creative, and also quite realistic. Discovery is a real nice snow map with plenty of chokepoints and places to flank those chokepoints.

I'm still hoping to play stadium so I can feel it out a bit.

I agree with your analysis. I'm not a huge fan of the pack other than Berlin Wall. It's a lot of fun and has great tactical gameplay style to it in every match. Kowloon is ultra difficult due to the fact that there are about 5003859385902385092830959823 points in the map that can see you at about any one time. If you control the high points on the map you're in business though, kind of the same way Jungle is played. Discovery I'm on the fence about. It's got good sightlines, but has some decent nooks to sit down and take a break in. Stadium is worthless.

I feel slighted in making my purchase. I've thought about removing the pack, as I really only want to play Berlin Wall, but my friends all want to play the new maps.

The new map pack is the WORST thing to happen to the game. Everyone backs out of matches where they don't get new maps (or do in some cases), making it a hassle to get into any kind of match going sometimes. I sat in a lobby for 10 minutes while people came and went over and over again as the countdown to begin the match ticked down. The game then would have to find new players, migrate the host, divide teams up, start the countdown again, only to do it all over again when a few people left.

Man, I have been struggling SO MUCH the past few days with this game. My accuracy has tanked and I really have no idea why. I'm dropped almost half a percent point which is significant with the amount of game time I've logged. I'm using the same classes as I always have yet instead of finishing 20-10 or 18-9 like I have for the past month, it's been 10-11 or 9-12. So frustrating.

Man, I have been struggling SO MUCH the past few days with this game. My accuracy has tanked and I really have no idea why. I'm dropped almost half a percent point which is significant with the amount of game time I've logged. I'm using the same classes as I always have yet instead of finishing 20-10 or 18-9 like I have for the past month, it's been 10-11 or 9-12. So frustrating.

Are you getting away from your trigger discipline? Sometimes I find myself holding down the trigger and spraying rather then effectively bursting my shots at medium to long ranges... and I have to tell myself to stop doing that.

Also sometimes it's better to not just shoot at anything you see, if you don't have a clear shot at a guy it's better not to shoot... even with a silencer if you miss your shots and the guy ducks out and get's behind cover... he's aware someones shooting at him and a lot of times he will have the upper hand. In those situations don't chase them around a corner because they have the advantage of knowing someone's after them and you don't know where they are.

Try different classes/weapons and perk combos or alter your normal style.If you play careful,start running and gunning and vice versa.

If you play objective games,play TDM,etc.

Take advantage of double XP this weekend and Prestige(again).
You may play different and better on a new prestige.
