Call of Duty: Black Ops

Every CoD to date since MW1 has had "that gun" that everyone used and was "overpowered" or "unbalanced".

In MW1 it was the M16, WaW it was the MP40, MW2 I can't remember but think it was the AK47 (first CoD game I got rid of within 3-4 months, absolutely hated it), Black Ops is the Ak74u.

That's the way it is and unfortunately they have never been able to fix it in multiple versions of the game.

Damn Sven, Thank you for the tips,but I think I just flat out stink at this game. I tried your suggestions for the past 2 nights and I am still around .50 for my kill/death ratio. I do not camp at all and I am constantly on the move. I come face to face with the enemy and I am always a split second behind. I am no spring chicken at age 44 so maybe my reflexes aren't as good as these younger kids?

Also to add, do combat training to help learn maps, guns, attachments, sensitivity, etc. It helps alot.

Prestiged for the first time tonight, and wow, I'm an idiot for doing so. Just no point, but I was bored sitting at 50 all the time. I figured it was the perfect time to do it since it's the double XP weekend. I forgot how awful your guns are in the beginning.

Prestiged for the first time tonight, and wow, I'm an idiot for doing so. Just no point, but I was bored sitting at 50 all the time. I figured it was the perfect time to do it since it's the double XP weekend. I forgot how awful your guns are in the beginning.

Well you'll get the Famas at 14, and the Ak74u at 17. So you get those beasts pretty early... it's losing the Pro Perks and having to get them back again that's painful some of them like Flak Jacket, Ghost, and Hacker Pro... are pretty time consuming and require a lot of situational things to happen.

The default MP5 class is nice though. I am on prestige lvl 3 now, and still using that weapon with sleight of hand pro and a RD.

It's just that you don't obsess over this game like some of the children do. You just gotta keep working at it and a knowledge of the maps helps too(sight lines and such). It also helps playing with good team mates, if you're on PS3 hit me up I'll play, Bighoff63. I'm not great just average.

Thanks bighoff, I am on the 360, but my son, who is really good,is always looking for good players, and he has the PS3. He usually gets around 30 kills unless their are a bunch of campers in the game. His PSN name is Leut_Aldo_Rayne so add him if you would like a good teammate. I watched him rape a bunch of players using just the ballistic knives for a whole match and he had 31 kills.

Heh, my roommate just had a 9-kill stabbing spree, died, and followed it with 6 more stabs in a row.

If you run Marathon/Lightweight, with the Ballistic Knife and Steady Aim Pro, for faster recovery in between stabs you can go on big knifing sprees... not as ridiculous as the Tac. Knife from mw2 but still effective.

The team he was against was pretty stupid. After a few in a row he started to charge for the stabs when he could've shot. He did have lightweight pro, but no ballistic knife.

Its still easy to get knife kills on blackops. Its always funny when you come up behind a group of guys an proceed to knife them all.

Half the time its because you panic and that's the first reaction instead of spraying them with bullets.

True, but its also more efficient to knife someone when they are up in your face instead of shooting. Not only is it quicker but you save bullets.
