    Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

I will start off with the second one. Mainly because if you just play the 3rd one, you won't understand the back story of the characters of why they act the way they do towards you. And you also won't get why you need to build a Brotherhood in the 1st place.

    Anyway more on the impressions.......

I love kicking guards in the gut over and over again LOL. Can't wait to unlock the crossbow. But so far I have the following factions in place:

    The Courteseans aka The Hookers
    The Swordsmen
    The Spies
    The Thieves

And finally started recruiting my Assassin's, got 2 so far, think I am going to spend the next hour recruiting more Assassins because damn it is alot of MOFOS to kill. I was looking at that Assassin Contract list and that is a lot of names in different places. I was like HOLY CRAP.

And OMG, some of those places in order to get 100% sync they talking about not being detected, some of those things left me scratching my head saying how in the hell can I get into that place with DOZENS of patrolling guards and not be seen ??????

I would personally start with AC2 as I loved the game and it gives you a nice lead in to the new one.

Thanks, fellas. I tried the second one awhile ago and couldn't get into it...but I am pretty sure I pulled the plug too fast.

I have the 2nd one, and the reason I'm gonna jump into Brotherhood tomorrow is that I want to play online. I want to take advantage of the online community while I can.

I must say once you actually start building your Brotherhood, taking out the Bourgia captains become a lot easier. And basically the more your recruits fight, the more experience they gain and they get promoted to higher and higher level of assassin, which is pretty cool.

Damn, single player sounds pretty fleshed out. I might have to jump on this around Christmas, loved AC2. How is the Desmond story?

Hopefully be on MP tonight or tomorrow, I'll look for people here...Last night I just got through the single player beginning where I'm just in Rome now (getting through all the plot setup and whatnot...) Fun game though, and seems like they tweaked everything nicely.

This is one game I don't mind having one every year as long as they do it this well.

I'm digging the storyline this time around. Loving the gameplay as well. I tried 1 round of MP and had no clue as to what I was doing.

I will say after completing sequence 2 that this seems to be a pretty good purchase for me.

Multiplayer is a lot of fun. Played for an hour or two yesterday. I'm pretty bad, but it's more fun than sucking at Call of Duty, so it's OK. I've only played wanted though, and still need to check out the other modes.

Awesome! I love stealth type games but there are so few multiplayer like that. Sounds like this really works from what I hear. May not end up as popular as COD type stuff, but should be fun. I'm hoping to play soon, just need to finish working out my AC rust so I'm not completely horrible.

Man, I'm thinking about getting AC2 to beat, then this.
I just completed the first game and my goodness that got boring. Just a complete average game all around to me.
I'm hearing 2 cleared up a lot of things 1 didn't do well.

Man in multiplayer it seems like I can never find a chase breaker when I need one.

This game is cool though, the more I play it, the more I like it. I just hope there's still a bunch of people to play with 6 months from now, and I don't have to wait 10 min to find a game...

                              Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Basically the more you play, the better and better the story and game play gets. Mainly because you start rolling in money which allows you buy better gear. Gear is ESSENTIAL this time around.

The guards AI is much improved and the days of just rolling through them with ease are gone. It is too many of them and they have that honey bee swarm tactic that kicks in if you attack one of them, especially if you attack their captain.

I have noticed if you kill their captain quickly the guards will just walk away. But the longer the fight lasts with the captain, the more guards will come to aide their captain. I swear at one point I was fighing 15 guards at once by myself, I was like oh crap WTF ? LOL

But anyway I finally acquired the crossbow last night, that thing is beast. Cost a hell of a lot of money to buy though. I also noticed the merchants, all of them got some top of the line stuff to buy, BUT, you got to do a favor for them in order to unlock the option to buy it.

Last night one of my assassin's died. So therefore I have noticed you have to keep an eye on them and help them if they start getting their butt kicked LOL. They can hold their own with the lower guards. But the medium level guards give them a problem and the elite guards will just kill them out right.

And it seems to take a long freaking time to level up your Brotherhood. I think the most you can have is 15, I have 9 and I believe I seen 6 empty slots left. So for the most just seen them to kill the random low ranking guard you see walking around to level them up.

When it comes to handing out assassination contracts to your brotherhood, it will give you a percentage of chance of success for that person you select in your brotherhood to be successful. Even with half the people in my brotherhood at level 2, all of them have 0% chance of killing ANY of the DOZENS of contracts to succeed. I was like wow......This is going to be a long game LOL.

I wish you could just use money to just buy the upgrades for your recruits outright, but you can't. Everytime they get called to fight, they gain xp points and you use those points to upgrade their weapon and armor.
