    Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

    More info:
    • Single Player follows Ezio who is 45 now trying to rid Rome of the Borgia clan.
    • Cesare Borgia is the main bad guy. He's the son of AC2' main villain.
    • Game takes place entirely in Rome. Rome is 4 times the size of Venice and is divided into 4 districts.
    • Ezio can recruit characters off the street to aid in missions. Experience points can be spent to build up their skills.
    • Combat is mostly the same, but the player can now chain kills together in rapid succession.
    • Collectible items and secret location challenges return.
    • The meta game of building up the Villa in AC2 is now the entirety of Rome.
    • You can do assassinations from your horse now.
    • Leonardo Da Vinci is back along with new and returning gadgets.
    • Tiber Island serves as Ezio's base of operations.
    • Multiplayer is separate from single player, but the story crosses over into both.
    • Multiplayer will include adversarial, team based, and objective based modes.
    • Multiple classes with unique weapons and assassinations.
    • There's a point system which allows you to upgrade your multiplayer character.
    • Adversarial mode drops 6-8 players in a map where your assigned a target to kill. Another player is assigned you as the target. So there's a constant cat and mouse going on.

Sounds like that game they have on Steam called The Ship with the Adversarial Mode. On another note, their combat SUCKS, yet they don't improve it to the point that we can have a harder game. I hate that. Most of that sounds pretty solid. I also like the fact that we will be building up Rome. I wish that would have been more in depth in AC2. I want to know how the multiplayer will work out if the combat is the same way it is for 2?? Need some video on this sucker.

Okay, combat looks improved. I still think that they should have more in-depth combat. What's the purpose of having the tank enemies when we could just strip them of their weapon and dispose of them so easily? They need to be as painful as seeing a Templar in the first title. Make them difficult to battle for crying out loud. I do like what I see though.

Did you play the second one? You can't always take the weapons from the enemies and usually if you try to the will end up just knocking you on the ground.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Still trying to get my first prestige in MW2. Everytime I think I'm going to get on another game, it keeps pulling me back in. It's sad because I hated FPS at one time because they seemed the same. At any rate, I think when we move, I'll definitely sit down and finish AC2. That game is just so beautiful. I kind of became irritated when I could throw knives at them even though they were heavily guarded. I'll try and get back onto it in the next couple of weeks before I rush to judgment.

Multiplayer looks really cool. Glad they went in that direction instead of a generic deathmatch.

                          Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Although it would appear that, by the end of Assassin's Creed 2, Desmond's time reliving fragments of his ancestor Ezio's past would close out the Italian's story; however, there is more tale to tell. The events of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood take place soon after the end of the previous game in the series. There was an initial fear that, since Brotherhood is somewhat of a side-story in the series, Desmond's puzzle would be put on the shelf. Thankfully, lead A.I. programmer Stéphane Assadourian tells us that players will learn more about Desmond's journey.

Following the introductory attack, the hands-off demo we were presented shifts to some years later. It's 1503 and Ezio stands over the gorgeous landscape of Rome (billed by Assadourian as twice as big as Venice from Assassin's Creed 2). Once again seeking vengeance, Ezio turns to his trusty dual hand-blades; however, this time the adversaries that stand in the assassin's way are too strong for him to tackle on his own.

The major addition to Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is the ability to recruit and train stealthy warriors to aide Ezio in his quest for vengeance. Each character recruited into the brotherhood of assassins -- either male or female -- has their own identity: Once they die, they are gone forever. In order to upgrade recruits, Ezio must put them through training. This is done by sending members of the brotherhood on contracts throughout Europe, ranging in difficulty. When given the option to send a member on a task, a meter displays the probability for success. The system is risk and reward: While the recruit will be unavailable to help Ezio during gameplay -- or may even die while away -- he become a more lethal member of the brotherhood.

You won't regret it, AC2 has been the only game in recent memory where when it was over I was really down that there was nothing left. I am stoked that this new one is coming out.

The multiplayer still doesn't interest me that much, but giant bomb had a preview of the first 7 minutes of the game, and boy does it look fun.

The fighting aspect of Assassin's Creed was easily the weakest element of the game, which had me more than a little concerned when they announced a MP game. After seeing the E3 videos however, I'm pretty stoked for the game. But then, I'm a huge Assassin's Creed fan, so I'm not certain if I'm able to be an unbiased spectator on the subject.
