I did, cause the whole internet was buzzing about it as soon as DLC was announced for this game, and Ed Boon teased with a question about Jason on twitter. Plus the WB tie in.

Makes sense with Freddy so far since in one of the Nightmare on Elm Street's he put a kid in a video game world and chased him down using a "power glove"....

I remember Freddy saying after he got the kid... "Great Graphics"!

I think Boon is saving the other MK characters for MK 10. I bet that story mode will be crazy!

The game should be called Mortal Kombat X.

Freddy? Really? I'm pissed I bought the season pass. I despise guest characters like this. Couldn't think of some one new or something. I am highly disgruntled on this one.

Bad thing is, with the season pass, I am basically forced to get him. FML!

Not overly excited about him, but I didn't care for anyone else. I was only really a fan of the first 3 so anyone after that I don't really care about. I still haven't used Quan Chi aside from the challenge tower since I dislike him that much.

I actually like Mortal Kombat a lot less after MK9. Blame Freddy, Kratos, awful online play, inept DLC (it's rarely on time or released smoothly), and generally taking itself entirely too seriously. It went from supposedly being the "darkest MK ever" at E3 2010 to just being a ****ing joke like every other game after UMK3.

If I play a fighting game that I heard was brutal, I'd be sorely disappointed with Mortal Kombat (2011)...It had a lot of potential, but too many things rip me up as a fighting gamer to be okay with it...The number one being the lackluster, sexist, everyones-a-greek-God character models (unoriginal ones at that)...I just don't see myself playing MK anymore.
