I asked before but no one answered so I'll ask again, what do you do with the background music you unlock in the Krypt? Is there a way to play it during matches or do you simply go somewhere to listen to it?

Also, is there a way to do custom soundtracks? I thought that was going to be an option they said but I don't see how to do it.

I think you can select the music when you go in to select the stage instead of letting the game do it for you.

There is no custom sound track in the game and to listen to the stage songs go to the necro place and select the green portal. There will be a place to select and listen to stage music.

Also if you hit start instead of A/X when selecting a stage you will hear the classic music instead.

Also if you play 2 player input the Kombat Kode 101 101. That will also play classic music during the match. Hope that helps.

That definitely does help but....maybe I'm missing something here but I don't ever even recall seeing the ability to select your stage, where is that option at??

All the unlocked Krypt music does is allow you to hear it in Nekropolis, without any obstructions. I'm not a real fan of the new stage themes, just the ones that pay tribute to the old ones (Armory, Pit, Rooftops, Courtyard) and of course the classic themes.

In this year's game, two random characters are selected. Apparently characters selected for this purpose can be any two from the entirety of the MK series, this according to Mortal Kombat Wiki.

In MKII, the two characters were always Blaze (playable only in Deadly Alliance and Armageddon) and some dude known as Hornbuckle (whose only other appearance in any significant capacity in the MK series is in Shaolin Monks).

I know when playing two player tag that the teamamtes are in the background fighting each other.


Also, are all the stages unlocked from the get go or are there some hidden/unlockable stages?

You guys are right sorry, I got them mixed up. I will try the advice given. That damn hammer gets me everytime. I have been able to get him down to about half life, but can't get him lower. I honestly don't even think I have won a single round yet.

I can't for the life of me (or anyone else's life for that matter) figure out how to use the alternate costumes I've unlocked all of them in the Krypt, and when I go to the character select, I press start and that chooses the fighter, and when I try to go to character options and press start, it picks a random fighter. Can anyone please help me?
