So did they say when this would be out for the PS3.....oh wait.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Mortal Kombat
Amazon has this on sale for $40:

No excuse not to pick it up!
I don't even like fighting games, but I love this game. Last fighting game I put this much time into was the original Smash Bros. on the N64.Comment

Re: Mortal Kombat
The "quick fix" patch is live now:
1. Kung Lao damage nerf by around 20% on high combos.
2. Reptile damage nerf by around 12% on high combos.
3. Sub Zero damage nerf by around 2%, but in the corner do: jp 224 freeze, step back, b12, 214 x ray to get 55% damage, same as his old corner combo
no patching ex ground freeze because it's a reset that requires both parties to guess.
4. Kano has been buffed. Can still fuzzy guard Kano's combo. Kano F3 changed to low. Kano ball damage toned down. Kano ball is seriously safe (only Raiden's superman, Lao's spin, Reptile's dash can punish it now) you can try a throw attempt on him if you're not one of those characters.
5. Sheeva gets a damage buff on combos. work with her 50/50 mix-ups. low throw has armor, unlike regular throw, to stop people from crouching and mashing D1 D1 D1.
6. Baraka corner infinite taken away. Baraka gets a damage buff on combos. Baraka got increased combo potential. F2 is now overhead. B31 is a true popup.
7. Sonya block infinite is gone: cannot be done if you crouch block. But her ability to stun has been completely raped.
8. Kabal block infinite is still there.
9. Sindel infinite is still there.
10. Noob's B1214 does less damage now, but no significant nerfs for him.
11. No nerfs or buffs with Jade, Ermac.
12. Scorpion damage nerf by around 2% on combos.
13. Nightwolf damage nerf by around 2% on combos.
14. Cyrax net reset is gone.
15. Stryker x-ray hitbox fixed. No longer beat by wake-up attacks.Comment

Re: Mortal Kombat
Yeah this is my game of the year so far.
Just so much fun to play, even with the lag online. Can't wait for the next patch, since it is going to fix the lag.
Definitely getting the DLC:

Re: Mortal Kombat
Yeah I admit the lag doesn't kill it online although I've had some pretty bad connections that were almost impossible to play but for the most part it's pretty responsive.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Mortal Kombat
I've read that NRS doesn't need to release an official update to patch things, and they say they've been continuously working on the netcode. Has anyone been able to see any noticeable improvements online?
I can't say I have, but playing everyday would probably make it harder to see a gradual difference. The lag isn't that horrible for me personally outside of King of The Hill.Comment

It seems like in KOH it goes well until someone with a bad connection joins then it goes all to heck.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Mortal Kombat
That is the nature of P2P online games, unfortunately.
Skarlet DLC trailer posted on IGN:
I think I'm going to have to get one of those Street Fighter IV fightpads for this game so I can pull off combos. I can do special moves fine on the 360 controller, but combos are another story. I went into practice mode and just watched the directional inputs when I try to combo and I'm getting all these weird directions with the stock 360 pad.Comment

Re: Mortal Kombat
I just found it funny that he won is all. I don't think Justin has ever played MK competitively in his life. For this to be his first competitive MK it makes no sense for people who have been playing MK competitively for a decade not to win.
