Same here, I felt like everything was repetitive, Take a quest, go to a cave, slay monsters, get treasure, buy new gear and repeat that throughout the entire game. I actually felt Morrowwind was better.

Morrowind is one of my all-time favorites. Easily top 5 for me.

Oblivion wouldn't even crack the top 25.

I clicked this thread thinking my day was going to be made with some info and a screenshot. Damn.

I hope it comes out soon, but I'd say January/February would be the best. I'd be winding down with Fallout at that time. And it's cold in Chicago so my girlfriend can't yell at me for sitting inside and playing all day.

The only thing Oblivion did better was combat.

The thing I loved about Morrowind was precisely what they worked hard to "fix" in Oblivion which was that the world was more or less the same whether 20 minutes in at level 1 or 100 hours in at level 30.

Personally I loved the aspect of "there is some sick l00t in this cave but if I"m not fast my character will get killed in about 30 seconds" whereas in Oblivion it's more JRPGs like where every town/dungeon you get a sword that has a slightly better attack power.

Also every town felt more or less the same whereas in Morrowind there were vast differences everywhere.

I didn't like the Gates to Oblivion, they were VERY repetitive, with virtually little to no difference's between the graphical styles of them. Other than that, Oblivion was without a doubt, the greatest game that I've played. Only game that I've logged 150+ hours in.

This thread needs to die in a fire!

Here I was hoping something was announced at E3, and I got hyped...We're not seeing this until 2012 I think.

Millennia ago when me and 6 other people were playing Elder Scrolls 1: Arena, I never wound have guessed that the franchise would blow up and become so popular.

I had the same complaint. The gates to oblivion were so irritating similar they just got to be chores throughout the game.

Other than that I loved it. Morrowind and Oblivion are my 2 favorite rpgs. I wish there were other games like the (same setting, lore, combat) but it seems to be pretty unique.

I don't even like RPGs all that much but TES is something else...

I loved Daggerfall TES2, but couldnt get into Morrowind. and Oblivion was awesome imo.

What was it about Morrowind that you liked soo much?

Yeah the gates were the worst part of that game, and it wouldn't have been as much of a problem if there weren't so many of them.

I just couldn't get into Morrowind and since Oblivion, I have tried to get back into Morrowind but it just bores the heck out of me. Not my style, I guess.
