Re: Dragon Age 2
Man.......
I'm going to have find some serious coin to up my gear for my party. They starting to get wiped out pretty damn fast lately. You really go to have a support person in your group in this game. This is a must after the Deep Road.
And you really got gear up your mages too. They get killed hell of fast after the Deep Road as though they got a giant bulls eye on them. Your tank gets wiped out hell of a fast too if you don't help them.
For those who say no tactics is needed in this game, that it is too easy......
BS.......WAIT TO YOU MAKE IT PASSED THE DEEP ROAD
IT'S LIKE A WHOE NEW COMPLETELY GAME AFTER THE DEEP ROAD.Comment

Re: Dragon Age 2
I'm not having much of a problem at all after the Deep Roads. I always focus on mages/archers with my rogue though. Stun them with a flask, backstab, and then twin fangs and they die every time.
I do pause a lot to issue orders to everyone. If its available I always have Anders Crushing Prison the mages.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Dragon Age 2
Well, I haven't made the move down to Normal yet, but I have been pretty successful is destroying people with my 2H Hawke (making Fenrir redundant despite how badass he is). Mighty Blow goes off for some ridiculous damage sometimes, and it feels good.
My key to the game has been to AOE, while I let Aveline engage a group of people, and then run around keeping stragglers off of my mage and rogue archer. Combat is so satisfying.Comment

Re: Dragon Age 2
I had been doing pretty well so far, until I got to the Demarius' Mansion section of Bait and Switch. I got wiped out twice by all those summoned creatures and the fire demon. I finally put all buff skills on with all my characters and the dwarf made it through as the only survivor. I definitely should have leveled up some more before that quest. The thing that drove me crazy was the mage wasn't even there!Comment

Re: Dragon Age 2
I am now through the Deep RoadsSpoilerBethany is now a Grey Warden. I was rolling with the three mages backing up my rogue, and decided to leave Merrill behind. Looking it up online after, I'm really glad I ran with that group. I really want Anders on my squad and I much prefer Bethany a Warden than a prisoner of the Templars.
I am really hoping there is a reckoning coming to certain people from before the Deep Roads, despite me playing a "good" guy, now that I have the money and political power to strike.
Edit: One more thing, regarding the Magistrate's Orders questSpoilerI decided to kill the crazy bastard, and was hoping to really getting in his face and telling him that he should have gotten his son help, but when I went to turn in the quest there was no dialogue, it just popped up that the quest was updated and he walked off. Is this a bug? It was a really strange way to end the quest if not, I even tried reloading and had the same happen.Last edited by Burns11; 03-12-2011, 05:20 PM.Comment

Re: Dragon Age 2
Ok........40 hours in now and I am on year 7. Just fought the mother of all boss battles.......Holy smokes.....
Word to the wise.....invest in your party weapons and armor. In that last boss battle I just fought, I was the last one standing in my party.
Spoiler
I had to fight Arishok, the leader of the Quanari and his group of men. Basically you find out Isabella stole from them and they get ticked off and wage war on the city slaughtering people.
You got to fight your way to the Keep, where it will be Arishok, 20 of his warriors and 3 Quanari Mages. Quanari Mages are no joke ! Their power is something I never seen before, it is totally out of this world how damn poweful they are.
Now I am the Champion of Kirkwall, however I got a civil war about to happen between Knight Commander Meredith and Osarila the 1st Enchanter of the Circle. Bascially Meredith is abusing her power and cracking down way too hard on Mages.

Re: Dragon Age 2
Anyone heard about the glitch that breaks the game during Isabela's recruitment? I guess you can't enter the last room sometimes to finish it and she just stands there. My brother told me about it and said Bioware was looking into it as of 3 days ago. I haven't done that quest yet but was wondering if others had experienced it.GT: Herkyalert

For me Isabella was easy to find, she was sitting inside of Hangman's drinking. Didn't have to do anything special to recruit her at all.Comment

Re: Dragon Age 2
Got a tip for you guys......
If you so happen to mess up ranking a character or you feel that specific talent tree isn't as good as you thought it would be. Go to the Black Emporium, in there they sale this potion called Makers Sigh....
It only cost 1 soverign and some silver. It allows you to redistribute ALL your attribute points, speciality points and ability points. I am going to do it for about half of my party.
Some of my party skills is kind of lacking and I don't like that tree I gave them. For instance I play as a rogue, however I don't care for Duelist or Specialist trees, they aren't as good as I thought it would be. Same thing with archer, I don't care for it.Comment
