Unfortunately in this game nothing changes whether or not if you a good guy or bad guy. People supporter or people *****. The ending doesn't change either, not that much anyway.

People still treat you the same. I remember if you were a blood mage people would say he is a blood mage and whisper stuff about you depending on what class you choose. This game people can careless.

The only person that seems to notice what you are is Fenris.

So I had an odd glitch when I beat the game before heading on vacation:

So I had the fling with Isabela with my male, 2H Warrior, but then had the "real" relationship with Merril and told her I loved her, yada yada yada, during the end game and her personal quest. Yet, in the ending voice over, Varric says that I "stayed with Isabela". Very odd...

The only thing I can think of is the ending of her quest, when you have to kill the Keeper and talk to the Dalish. I told them to back off when they accused her and then of course slaughtered the lot of them. In my game Merril never mentioned that event at all after...another glitch?

Yup its glitched. At the beginning of Act 3 when you speak to Merril for the first time its actually the conversation that you are supposed to get after the Dalish slaughter. She was crying and saying they were all gone, Mirathani... everyone. The next time you talk to her Varric is consoling her and telling her to get outside. I kept thinking I missed something because they were all alive still and the mirror disappeared. So when I attacked the Dalish Clan, I was not surprised. I am going to try to save them in my next playthrough.

The mercenary captain who took me on for a year picked a fight with me and lost. I chose to let my mark in Loose Ends go because he was Ferelden, and the gang sought revenge near the end of the chapter. I wonder what Carver would have thought; he always liked the mercenaries.

Got this game release day but wasn't able to play it till the weekend. Reason is I lost my original DAO save and that meant replaying DAO and all the DLC. Either way I'm finally playing and enjoying this game. It was hard at first to come with terms that I'm no longer my badass Warden or a Warden at all for that matter. But the game's story and characters are growing on me.

I know a of people here won't believe it, but I just finished my first,and only, play through (not counting DLC or expansions) at 70 hours. I'll put a spoiler tag just in case I'm giving away too much to those who haven't finished the game.

Absolutely loved the party members and their personal stories. Really liked the cameos from the DAO characters. The main story was solid. I liked it better than Origins, but neither would fall into the category of outstanding, IMO. Better main villain in DA II, but not in the upper echelon of RPG villains.

The combat was average. I would prefer a lot fewer battles, with more memorable sub bosses, and enemy A.I. with better tactics and strategy.

A few quest were bugged, and I had about 10 crashes. in the 70 hours of play time.

The worst part of the game were the limited locales, and the lackluster environments. Never did I enter an area, and go "WOW!" this look great.

I think DA III will easily have the most E.P.I.C. storyline if they follow the events that ended II.

Solid 8/10 from me.

How in the world did it take you 70 hours? It only took me about 30 hours to finish my first playthrough, and I did every quest I could. The only games that took me that long, were Fallout 3 and FFX.

The Funny thing is that I didn't have a single crash in my entire playthrough, or a bugged quest or anything. It went surprisingly smooth. Really the only issue i had with the game were the recycled levels, other than that, I enjoyed DA2 much more than DA:O.

That High Dragon fight was buggy as hell.

After finishing it about 3 weeks ago, it wasn't as good as I thought it was when I first started playing. I loved the characters and the combat was ok. The story was decent, but the idea to have the game playout in one location was a bad idea. I probably won't play it again until it's time for the third one to come out. Unless they release some more DLC.
