What's the deal with green items like blood dragon armor and the lion shield, don't they level with you?

Maybe it's indicating they're extras/DLs?

WOW they got a lot of DLC for this game. I am going to download the Exiled Prince for 560 points. They got a whole lot of weapons and armor as DLC as well and they all cost MS points.

Good thing I have a ton of points laying around.

Yeah I just found that out LOL. Good thing I only bought 3 things before it hit me and I said hmmmmmmm let me check if it is for my avatar or the actual game LMAO.

I didnt look into it.. but on the Extra's tab theres all sorts of unlockable weapons some how,

The various promotions. Like playing the facebook game,the stuff for there being 1 mil demo DLs and all that. You have to link your account.

I am a warrior now and I like a lot more then being a rogue. I am now doing the Exiled Prince DLC. Also this time around I choose being a mercenary, my 1st play through I was a smuggler.

I can already see differences in the game. For instance I see an extra store in Darktown now that sell hell of good weapons. That wasn't there when I was a smuggling rogue.

I have some additional time on my hands and was looking at picking this game up. Do I need to pickup the first in order to enjoy the second?

Do you need to? No. Would you likely enjoy the second better? Yes. There are a lot of connections to the first game, but overall the story stands on it's own (so far, I'm not done yet).

Plus you can import your save so you have full choice over the first games events.

Those quest keep on coming and coming. Still don't have enough coin to go into the deep roads yet.

Yeah it was a pain but I liked it, made ya feel like you were struggling to survive. Poor saps that used the money glitch in this game, they missed a he'll of alot.

DA2 is really starting to grow on me. Plenty of side quest and im about half way on the money needed. But that won't last if i can find some upgrades for my party members. So much stuff for Hawke but not everybody else.

My love for the Dragon Age universe is almost surpassing my love for the Mass Effect universe. This second game is really going a long way in defining the mindset and motivations of both the templar and mages. Just adds to the Dragon Age lore.

I'm already 14 hours in and still haven't gone into the Dark Roads yet. I do have the coin now though. Trying to do all the quest that they give me. Really have not upgrade everybody's armor like I want yet. Still trying to figure out the best way to go about it.

According to those that are much further than me, I have not even got to the good part of the story. I'm excited to see how the rest of the game plays out.

What you're running into is people who hate the stream lining of RPGs, and the PC crowd who think the game was designed with the console too much in my mind.

I think my biggest gripes are a lack of the isometric camera on PC. It would make targeting some spells somuch easier when the person is off camera. And while I like that simply having upgradable armor for companions allows them to keep awesome character design, I do miss simply being able to outfit them with any piece of armor I find. It makes a portion of the stuff I pick up straight vendor trash.

yeah the isometric cam is needed...if you're backed up against the wall theres no way to zoom all the way out and all i see are sparks and blood everywhere...EVERYWHERE!

anyway...i dont think i can play this a second time...the whole appeal for me for the first one was that there were other playable RACES and each had a different story...poor/rich...city/woods..ugh....i do like that its more personal with your character but i just dont see myself playing a second time....

i really hope they go back to choosing races again in DA3 and keep the ME gameplay away from the DA universe...
