Has Bungie ever issued a release date yet? I don't think they have, maybe I'm wrong. Either way this game is going to be awesome.

Just don't think about it. I'm just going to try and forget about the game, then when it comes, it comes.

Bungie will never give a release date...

If you go to bungie.net you can keep up with the latest info

            THE FAQ

#1 from February answers the question

Q When is Halo 2 coming out?

A Bungie has always stood by our policy of not giving out release dates for any of our titles. To put it simply, Halo 2 will be done when it's done. We're all as eager as you to get our hands on this amazing game but perfection takes time.

For now, Matt has already confirmed that the Summer 2003 dates being shown on various retail websites are definitely not accurate. When we do have a solid release date, we will post it here on Bungie.net. Until then, any Halo 2 release dates you hear should be considered extremely unreliable

One thing Bungie is known for is realeasing well polished games. They never release anything that seems rushed. However, on that note, I will not be buying Halo or Halo 2.

I wasnt planning on buying either also, since i am burnt out with FPS's at this point (even RTCW) and i think i played the first 30 minutes of halo a few months ago. I didnt like it at all, had played it a year ago at a friend's house and didnt like it also.

THat said, a few days ago i started playing it , and got much farther; let me tell you the game gets increasingly better. I was shocked that i had played a 4 hour stretch before going to bed a couple of nights ago. So hopefully i wont get bored of it, which for once doesnt look like i will. That will determing if i want HALO 2 or not
