So, the Vita version is due in the fall with 12 new characters. I smell Super Street Fighter x Tekken for PS3 and 360 in the fall too. Why waste money on vanilla? It's like MvC3/UMvC3.

The PlayStation Vita version of Street Fighter x Tekken won't make it out alongside the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions on March 8. Capcom said today that Vita owners will have to wait until Fall.

But portable players can look forward to some big bonuses. The Vita version will have twelve additional characters. The Street Fighter cast will be updated with Elena, Guy, Cody, Sakura, Dudley and Blanka. The Tekken side will be updated with Alisa, Christie, Jack, Bryan, Lars and Lei.

I believe it is out sometime next year. I think part of the deal between Capcom and Namco is to keep a lid on things until the SFXT buzz dies down.

I was worried about this as well and did some digging. Apparently series producer Yoshinori Ono was quoted as saying "I would say that you don't really need to worry about a new version of the game coming out. If we choose to update the game, it will be done in
the same fashion as Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition."

Get all the characters/gems/features as DLC. I think that is the way to go after all the flak they got with UMvC3. Although they could easily change their mind.

I have to say after being hyped initially, then not anymore, I'm starting to get hyped again. Watching Cross Assault, the WNF footage, and hearing people talk about the game has assuaged my fears with the Gems System. The game looks really good and a ton of fun to play, but I'm unsure if I will get it on day 1 with ME3 and The Show coming out the same day.

The hype definitely got to me and have already preordered it. I am even putting ME3 on the backburner until I am done with this and The Show. I've even been back to work on SSFIV in preparation!
