    Anyone having problems getting the PS3 replay channels to work (specifically, the Elite channel and the Character-specific channels)? I just get a neverending "transmitting data" message when I go to watch them.

    It's weird because I can pull up individual replays from the new upload list, no problem. Maybe a port problem - what ports need to be open for this game?

      Came home to find my copy a day early. Yes!

      Just ran through the tutorial and am screwing around a bit. Finding combos much easier to pull off after losing years of my life trying to complete the challenges from SSFIV and UMvC3. Who knows, maybe I'll actually try and do them all?

        The trials in this are more useful than the ones in either SFIV or Marvel.

          Played 10 matches online and love it. It seems like nobody knows how to use the Tekken players yet, myself included. Going to take some practice but I vow to get decent with Steve and Jin.

            I love the way you can chain certain boost combos into normal/unique moves and vice versa. I'm not sure how safe it is on block (and therefore how practical it is) but I have an 11 hit, 260 dmg meterless Asuka combo that's a cinch to hit confirm and I can actually pull off pretty reliably.

            Thinking of going with Ryu and Asuka (I would go Cammy as she's my SFIV character, but I think the lack of projectiles would be a problem).

            What teams are everyone using so far?

              Been running Hwoarang and Ibuki so far. Haven't gone online yet though as I'm still trying to get a feel for hwoarang.

                Typical Ryu and Balrog for me (who I played mostly with in SSF4.)

                Already people seem to be getting the hang of things. I have ran into a few deadly Yoshimitsus who has got to be top tier and a popular choice. Don't really know how to handle him.

                  I use Asuka too. Her strings can be canceled into HCB + K which is safe on block.

                  My current meterless BnBs:
                  • j. HP, st. HK, Double Lift Kicks, j. K, Leg Cutter xx Double Lift Kicks ~ 380 DMG
                  • b. MP, b. MK, Double Lift Kicks, j. K, Leg Cutter xx Double Lift Kicks ~ 310 DMG



                  Other characters I'm using are Law, Julia, Juri, Rufus, and Ogre.

                    I'm planning on getting the PC Version, but since by then there should be releases for the DLC I might end with the PS3 Version.

                      I'm finding Nina tough to use on a fightpad. LP + MK is a difficult input.

                        Who decided to make ranked matches 99 seconds max? I'm sick of freakin timeouts...

                        I'm going to have to explore some characters as well, Balrogs pretty much useless..

                          I just got this for PS3. I haven't played SF since last May or June so I'm extremely rusty - not that I was that good in the first place. Basically I am rolling through the trials to see who I like, which helped me figure out I liked El Fuerte, Hakan and Abel in SSFIV. So far I kinda like King, Rolento, Abel and Kazuya. But I've only played for a few hours so I'm going to play around a bit more before getting my *** kicked online.

                              The netcode is actually really good - For once I can't blame my suckiness on lag. There is however a sound issue online for both systems - Hard to explain, but some of the sound effects seem to cut in and and out, and it's annoying especially if you go by sound cues to time combo links or anything like that. Apparently it's a side effect of the actual netcode being so good - and to sync the sound properly some of that net quality would have to be sacrificed.

                                Yeah one thing I've noticed on streams is that this game is prone to time outs it seems.
