Gamestop 7 day used game returns...

Hey guys, got a question. Can you really buy a used game at GS and return it within 7 days for a full cash refund? I never knew you could, but I read someones post in another thread reading that you could, and wasn't sure if it was just for store credit, or for an actual refund. Thanks fellas.

Yep. Buy used and you have 7 days to return for a full refund. Says it right on the reciept if you still don't believe

I've Bought a game used..returned in within 7 days...picked another used game...rinse repeat..

yeah, you can buy a used game, play it, return it for cash or another game.. but then you must keep that game.

Totally not true or should I say if it is it's never been inforced with me. You can do it (As I am proof of that) multiple times. I've done it for many years. There has neven been a limit given to me or is there anywhere on receipt stating a limit.

Again I've done it for a looong time. There is no limit.

In fact when I buy a used game and take it back and get my money... how exactly can they stop me from spending my cash on another game... lol

In any case I've done the return used and just picked up another used...return it..grab another... many times. Never been limited. Unless they just made that rule the past week.

That rule is only applied as to using the Edge Card.

If you payed for the game with store credit, you have to get a refund in store credit.

If you payed for the game in cash, then you get cash as a refund and just pick up another game.

I work there, trust me.

You are correct. However there is no rule on the amount of times you can return a game. Edge card or otherwise.

We only allow it like 3 or 4 times. The edge card's numbers are in the system for doing that, and if it's used so many times for refunds in a certain time period, it shows us.

Then, we have to staple there new receipt to their refund one.

Hmmm... I believe you but either
1: The stores around here don't follow that rule or
and probably what's happened
2: I haven't returned games that many times in that short a time frame.

I spend quite a bit of $ in GS and I know all the managers here so maybe they just don't enforce it with me....Who knows...

Either way even the receipt doesn't say there's a limit.....

makes sense as from a business standpoint it would be idiotic to allow people to take advantage and use it as a rental store.

Do you have to have a reason for return ("it was a gift and I don't want it/ already own it") or can you just say, "I played it and didn't like it" as a reason?

"I played it and didn't like it" is fine.

but if too many people take advantage I can see them ruining it for everyone. this is a great deal for those games that me (or my step-son) are not sure about yet.
