    I don't mind the lights.

I don't use one on any of my rifles, but I usually roll with the M9 tact, because If I'm in a close gun battle and have to pull out my pistol, the flashlight usually gives me an extra second advantage over the other guy.

Yep me too... the light just gives your position away on rifles unless you are constantly toggling off and on but for the pistol it is great

Exactly nemisis, I'm not sure players understand that the light doesn't just blind people directly in front of it but also gives away position entirely to everyone not directly in front of it. I have it on one assault rifle kit and shut it off as soon as I spawn. I only toggle it on when hallway fighting.

I do love it on pistols though. Just from experience there can be a tiny hesitation or second to square up to the center of the glare and that seems to be a big advantage with a pistol and a likely already damaged enemy (since I'm flipping to my secondary).

How do you toggle the tactical light? I never even knew you could do that!

The fact that flashlights can blind people out in the open in broad daylight is what makes them ridiculous.

You shouldn't even be able to see flashlights when it's bright and sunny outside, but the game does not distinguish between dark/light environments for the flashlight's blinding effects. It works in all environments.

I absolutely hate being the RU in Metro conquest when the rest of my team isnt very good. If you get bottled up at A or the the main base, you will get absolutely hammered for the entire game.

Good grief you n00bs. It's been discussed before. These aren't freakin maglites on their guns. These lights are specifically designed to blind your *** when it's in broad daylight...which they do in RL.

Do you really think DICE just made up some lights that are blinding during the day? No....they really do that in RL.

There are flashlights out there that can be quite blinding in daylight however BF3 use of flashlights is kinda of far from real life in my opinion. Mainly if you are using a tactical flashlight that can blind in broad daylight it is probably over 600 lumen. However if you used a 600> lumen tac light indoors in the dark it would absolutely destroy your dark adaption. If BF3 was a bit more realistic in this regard your flashlight should really brighten up everything in its path but your peripheral vision should really suffer from lack of dark adaption. Almost like a tunnel affect indoors. I think that would be a fair compromise.

I can say that I love this game, especially the MP aspects. It's slower-paced and more tactical than COD (no dis to COD, I like it very much for what it offers too).

Focus is on team work, not lone-wolf, KDR boosters. Online component is largely objective based, Rush and Conquest. TDM is in this year as well and I think it's a lot of fun the way they do it.

PC vs console....I have it on 360 and love it. I just prefer to play this kind of game on my tv system. Can't comment on PC except that if you have the horses it supposedly looks INCREDIBLE. Sound on all platforms is flat out the best I've heard in a videogame.

I have BF2 as well, but this game is much more fun online, IMO. I think the campaign in BF2 might have been better than BF3, but 3's is still pretty good.

Overall, I really recommend it if you're looking for a change of pace from COD games. I think it works great as an alternative choice if you want to own both MW3 and BF3.
I appreciate the feedback. I have been interested in this game lately. I like the team aspect that I am hearing.

How is playing with a less amount of people compared to the PC? I liked how BF 2 demo had tons of people playing, up to 64!

Lucky this game doesn't have flash bangs. Or I would really slam my head at the complaints.

Loved them in Raven Shield on the PC.
