Re: Battlefield 3
It is basically delayed movements. So when you turn your gun their is a slight delay on screen. It can throw you off and makes it feel like you have a hard time controlling your gun. Here's a vid I found showing you. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/0PzGPchCAE0?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>"If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Epicness
The game has so much scale to it that it just feels epic. You start a match and you'll see guys running off on foot, a couple guys over there speeding off in a jeep, and a couple tanks start up and make their way off into the distance with a cloud of dirt rising up behind their tracks. You look up, and over the horizon you see a jet take off and a chopper sending round after round onto some poor soul on the ground.
It just looks so sweet. Especially when you are in the heat of the action and you're hearing all sorts of gunfire and explosions.
Teamwork
As I pointed out in the other thread, this game encourages team work and you will have much better success when doing so.
Perfect example was last night. We were playing rush (search and destroy) and Im not good gun on gun. So I like to take my time to sneak and get into an advantageous position. Im prone, crawling towards the objective using the bushes for cover. Koolie dies and spawns on me as Im getting close to the objective unnoticed.
As I make my way out, I lose cover and some guy takes me out and another squadmate that spawned on me also. But Koolie lies low even as the guy is literally standing on top of him. He lets him go so he doesnt bring any attention to himself and that gives me time to spawn on top of him. Which I do, which enabled all three of us to get behind the enemy and distract/kill enough of them so that our teammates could destroy the objectives.
Another example is last night, Blast was flying as assault and had to parachute down after being taken out from the air. He lands behind a tank and tells me to spawn on him after I had died. I do, and come in as support and C4 the tank immediately. Then we run off like giggly school girls. Lol
Theres so many little small things that make this game great when working as a team. You need a certain guy to heal you up after taking enemy fire. You need another guy to resupply the rockets you need to take out enemy vehicles. Another guy to take advantage of great positioning you had to work for and provide "intel" on the enemy.
Theres no better feeling than being brought back to life or getting unexpexted repairs just as you thought your tank was about to expload.
It all just works so well together.
Variety
There are just SO many ways you can play and experience the game. Land, water, air. It really is all here. You can spend an entire round doing completely different things. One minute you're in a chopper, the next speeding off along the shoreline in a speed boat, and the next you're in the gunner seat of a tank.
But the variety doesn't end with just vehicles. Each class and guns within each class completely changes your approach in games.
If Im running recon, I might go SKS and stay behind front lines and repeatedly pick people off from afar. Or a may go Support and act invincible, charging in on groups of enemies killing 5 or 6 Rambo style. Then lay prone, deploy a bipod, and destroy guys trying to enter my "space".
Theres a guy thats hiding behind the corner of a building that you cant hit? Thats fine. M320 the building above him and let the debris crush him (shout out to Koolie). Oh no! A group of guys are about to enter the building where youre held up by yourself? Set a C4 trap for them (shout out to Blast and JNes).
Not only that but even the guns WITHIN each class handle differently. So you'll be getting a different experience even though you may be using the same class.
There are just so many ways to play that keeps things interesting and feeling fresh.
This game has yet to feel old to me and I have HUNDREDS of hours played and I was never a first person shooter guy. Lol.
I simply can not fathom how you could go wrong with Battlefield.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
If you have alot of friends who are playing BO2 and not BF3 then I recommend BO2. BF3 is really great but by yourself it isn't the same in my experiences. If you play spit screen alot or plan on taking turns with someone alot I also recommend BO2 just because its faster pace and you can play spit screen on or offline. And BO2 like I already have said is just fun this year, plain and simple. I don't nearly get as frustrated from the game has I have since MW2.
But if you are looking for a all out war, every aspect a fps should have then BF3 is the way for you. Especially if you have friends playing this as well. This game shines when you are playing as a team with your friends. BF3 has much better graphics, gun gameplay, and is more on the realistic side.
I recommend BF3 to anybody before BO2, but it all comes down to what you like. Fast paced action where one person can lead a tam to victory? Or bigger battles, team play wins games, and slower of a pace? Are you going to play by yourself alot, or with your friends?
Also BO2 still has killstreaks, but now it is called "pointstreaks", to get your streaks sooner you actually have to play the objective. In the past people (including myself:winkwould play Domination or demolition to get the kills well now they reward objective playing which I think was a very smart idea.
Which ever you pick you will have fun, they are both good games, and are stronger in some areas and weaker in others. Good luck in decision.Comment

I'd just like to add that BF3 is half the price of BOPs.
So...um...yeah..you could by yourself a copy too with the money you'd save. This would eliminate the possible "he doesnt have any friends with battlefield" scenario.
Just sayin. :oComment

I made a real quick adjustment going from 360 to PS3, and actually had a bit more success on PS3 (probably because I did the 'learning curve' on the 360).GO 'HAWKS!

Re: Battlefield 3
So this game isn't recommended if I play by myself? How is TDM on BF3?
Cuz my buddies play Black Ops II... I've been trying to talk them into getting the Premium Edition but they aren't interested.Last edited by The Kid 24; 11-27-2012, 12:47 PM.Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment
