Yup.

Every time you shoot a weapon unsuppressed, an orange blip pops right up on the map.

So if you were ever wondering how a guy seemed to know exactly where you were and started lighting you up even though you felt you were being sneaky, now you know why. Lol

That's how I snuck in at B in that round of CQ on Metro where you and Blast were on the other team. I walked up the front steps and paused and watched Blast walk past and killed him. Then I turned and went for the booth and killed you and waited for the guy to come revive you only to kill you both again..

I held it down for a few minutes getting kills until someone finally caught on. If I didn't have the suppressor, I never would have made it off the escalator.

What time do you guys typically get on and play? I'm gonna try and be on tonight, but probably won't be able to get on until after 9:30 or so.

Those of you that use suppressors, can you tell a major difference in how much damage is dished out?

I haven't played with it recently, but back when I used them, it basically killed the range of the weapon. I felt like it hurt engineer weapons the most. Assault rifles still did work. Guns like the P90 are awesome with it.

Yeah...it's funny you said you put your suppressor back on the LMG. I just removed mine from my LMG this past weekend to go back to the Ext Mag. lol

I haven't had a suppressor on a LMG in a while. Extended mag is too useful

I call BS on that crap!

I come in towards the 1st Mcom under all that overhead crap on Firestorm. I see you drop BLAST. Then spot you with little to no life left. I unload half my clip on you and SAW YOU DIE. ENEMY KILLED 100 popped up on my screen.

I go to revive BLAST and as Im doing so, not even two seconds after I thought I killed you, Im being knifed by you.

BLAST goes, "How did you not kill him!? He only had 3% left."


Im sitting there going, "I did kill that fool!"

Guess you're starting to get those high colonel bonuses! BS!

I notice a pretty big difference at any range.

I just feel like I lack so much punch with a suppressor. So on PS when I first unlocked it and started using it, I noticed a difference IMMEDIATELY.

It felt like it took forever to drop people. In reality, it might not have been that much of a difference if you were to measure the amount of time it took to kill. But playing it was very noticeable to me and I lost more one on one gunfights.

I think it is due to the fact that the damage is decreased as you get further and further away from your target, coupled with the accuracy being decreased for aimed and hip fire. So you're missing more and the bullets that do actually find their mark arent hitting as hard.

But man is it nice being off the map. Lol

Thanks Magic. I've noticed orange dots on the mini map on occasion but I thought that was when guys were spotted. I'll have to try and pay more attention though because after reading your post, I can't imagine why I wouldn't be seeing more guys pop up on radar.

Thanks Magic. I've noticed orange dots on the mini map on occasion but I thought that was when guys were spotted. I'll have to try and pay more attention though because after reading your post, I can't imagine why I wouldn't be seeing more guys pop up on radar.

My secret is to die quickly, before they can use the map to get to my location!

Lol! You guys were trying to plant the MCOM, I came around & killed blast, then started shooting at you. You shot at me and I was trying to kill you with the REX, I ran out of bullets & you went to revive blast. I then took ur tags, reloaded & the killed blast again with the REX cannon. That was fun. Maybe you killed somebody behind me or something, regardless ill mail those tags to you this week, playboy.

I also had a chance to take Nunis tags right after that, but I didn't realize it was him & I just shot him. I was so pissed I didn't get him. I've just had too many deaths here recently where I did the swipe animation instead of taking the tags. So I just shot the guy, if I'd know not was nuni & would have risked it.

I've had mixed results with the suppressor, lately..

I like using it on CQ Rush matches. On big maps I've been rocking the engineer clas with the UMP. I use it bone stock with no attachments and I've had some really good success, especially in close quarter situations.

Peak times are 8PM - 11:30 Central but you can find some OS'ers playing throughout (sp?) the day anyway.
