Re: Battlefield 3
I just recently borrowed this from a friend to play with a couple of my other friends online.
It's got a little bit of a learning curve versus CoD obviously, so I'm not doing that great at it yet. I'm still working on getting the bullet-drop and leading of shots right for sniping.
There are only two things that really bother me thus far. The number of people who run around jumping like a bunch of frolicking deer drives me nuts. It wasn't bad on some of the servers, but when it was bad, it was awful. The other issue is the fact that sometimes I keep getting booted from the server for no reason or forced to change teams constantly. It's quite annoying.
I used to hate the display on Conquest with the objectives constantly on my screen, but I grew used to it now. Also I hated at first everyone was getting in tanks, helicopters, and planes basically non-stop. I don't care much anymore, I just avoid them and strike with my launcher from a safe distance.
Overall, it's been a fun experience.NFL: Green Bay Packers
MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies
NBA: Denver Nuggets
NHL: Colorado Avalanche, Pittsburgh Penguins
NCAA: Air Force Falcons, Penn State Nittany LionsComment

I have nights where I don't mind the vehicle heavy maps and then some nights where I despise them. Some people are just exceptional with a vehicle, but they suck on the ground in combat so that's all they do.
I hate getting in those servers with the dudes who are just uneal with a Jet. I can hold my own usually and I'm a decent with the controls. A few of us were goofing off on that OS server the other day and I kept flying the jet over and landing on the other team's landing strip and stealing their chopper and T-Magic (it had to be him) kept kicking me from the server.
There was a guy who used to play with the OS PS3 clan who just couldn't be touched in a jet. He would destroy anything and everything in the air and on the ground.Comment

Hopping does two things: makes you a harder target, and if you do it right, you actually can sprint faster than normal.
That's why I hop. And I'm sure most that are still playing do it for that reason as wellEagles | Phillies | Sixers | Flyers

Re: Battlefield 3
I downloaded the premium DLC last night. Jumped on for about an hour this morning before working on taxes. I went with recon mostly. I ended up with more knife and sidearm kills than sniper kills. I guess I forget to account for distance, but I'm finding it hard to snipe in this compared to my success in BC2.
Its weird playing online and nobody is using a mic.

We've been in many a battle together. Remember the great PS3 War? I sure do. Those were some of the toughest days of our lives. But we made it through that one together buddy.
Now we find ourselves once again in another great war. And theres no man that you can trust more with your six than your ol' pal Magic!
I demand an apology this instance!Last edited by TMagic; 02-09-2013, 12:05 PM.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
I'm a very average ground fighter. Maybe because I play the objective more than I do K/D ratios but some people are just lights out either way. I actually had to remap my controls because as I was shooting I would always accidentally depress the right stick and drop to prone. Now I accidentally knife. That is one thing that Medal of Honor fixed.
I'm pretty good in a tank but I prefer to play second fiddle in the gunner seat.
I can't fly a chopper at all but do well in the gunner seat there too. I enjoy big air maps for that reason.
Can't fly a jet though.PS4 - CoastalRyan

Why, whatever do you mean? I am both absolutely shocked and offended that you would just assume it to be me.

Re: Battlefield 3
Been a while since I've been around these parts....
Unfortunately back in November some pesky low life a**holes decided to walk into my house and take a couple of things.
Fortunately though we got what was taken replaced free, so that was pretty cool. I've been back online for the last couple weeks, thinking I may of lost a step..
Well, I thought wrong. Anyway, it's good to be back! If any of you wish to join me, you can always find me fighting to good fight! That's if you can deal with the British accent.. Hey, it ain't all that bad!
