I had BF3 but played online only once. I got BF4 pre-ordered for PS4 though so expect a new king in town! MGO is so addicting so I can only imagine what BF would be like with a bigger community.

I don't know what's going on, but in pretty much every match I join, I can't use half of the weapons i've unlocked. I've got the first rifle in the Support class leveled up quite a bit with with sights and accessories, but it's never an option for me to use in matches anymore. Same with the rest of the classes. I'm only able to pick like one of two main weapons.

Anyone know what's going on?

Make sure you're not joining un-ranked matches, that's what it sounds like you may be doing.

You're probably using the very first guns you start with correct? RPK as Russian or M27 IAR as Americans? Those are faction specific weapons and until you get a service star for that class, you cannot use the RPK as an American or the M27 as a Russian.

on that note, any suggestions on the best weapons to use? I mainly play as the mechanic class, At, and am using the intial weapons like the guy above leveling them up, should I go for another weapon or work towards it thats better?

Give them all a try. A lot of players are partial to one gun whereas others are partial to another. M16, AEK and G3 are probably the more popular medic guns. M4a1 and ACW for engineer. PKP, M60, and M20 (M240? Forget the name) for support.

Different strokes or different folks. I think most guns in the game are pretty well balanced, but since they all handle differently people tend to find cetain guns they prefer.

I use pretty much every gun from time to time, but here's my usual..


AEK, KH, M416, AUG, AN-94, FAMAS for Assault

UMP, QBZ, A-91 in Engineer

M5K, UMP for Support

SKS, M5K, or UMP for Recon

The REX is the only way I go with the pistol. Love that gun.

Also don't forget to aim for the head.

Unloading a whole clip into someone's chest doesn't do much

Did any of you guys have any problems with input lag before installing the game to your hard drive ? My friend was getting some terrible input lag and I spotted it right away when I was at his house yesterday.

We messed around with it for a while and finally decided to install the game and it cleared everything up.

When I first got it for 360, I waited several weeks before installing the game and I never had any sort of imput lag.
