I know you guys are on ps3 but I was looking to pick up a copy for the 360. I've been playing cod since cod4 and I am looking for something differerent and want to get bf4 for the one. What do I need to know? Is it like cod where a few guns are superior to others? My brother in law plays this game with a passion and has peaked my interest.

From my personal experience it requires alot more strategy and team play to be successful. COD is typically run and gun, the person who pulls the trigger the fastest wins. Also more people tend to play the objective in the objective based games in BF compared to COD. Wouldnt consider myself a vet though so im sure some of the guys here can give you more info on this game.It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

The guns, in my opinion, are all fairly balanced. There are some clear favorites, but they don't make the other guns useless.
Don't be stupid in this game and try to be a hero. Take your time moving up if there are a bunch of enemy soldiers holding down a chokepoint. Clear out enemy squads before deciding to move up. I can't count how many times on Operation Metro that there's quite a few people who try to sprint right through to the other side when they have motion sensors, bipods, and medics lined up. That's just a waste of our tickets. Even if you do manage to kill one or two on your rambo attack, they're going to get revived anyways.Comment

Quick question for you Ps3 players. I'll keep it short but need to preface the question.
Current 360 (& PC) player. Switching to Ps4 this fall, so I will be buying Ps+. My question is: If I sign up for Ps+ right now, and download BF3 for free, is there complete access to multiplayer?
I realize unless you guys have PS+ you may not know. But I appreciate any knowledge. Trying to get my feet in the water on making that jump to PS from Xbox. TIA guys.Comment

Me and a buddy who switched over to ps3 a month or two ago just downloaded this with PS+. I have now played on 360, PC, and now PS3.

Good deal I was concerned about maybe additionally needed online pass.
I am in the process of fixing a ps3 for a friend. Still need to fix the blu ray player, but downloaded games work. I briefly played uncharted 3's multiplayer and it's pretty clear the controller will take some getting used to.

I may fire my PS3 back up this weekend sometime if any of you want to get some games in. I'm a little rusty on the PS3 sticks, but I play enough Battlefield to where it won't be a problem.
Just got to level 25 on the 360 in almost half the time it took to get around 37 on the PS3
I've played this game way too much.
