More than likely, it is an EA game, they run their own dedicated on the consoles.

I've never play Battlefield 1 & 2 for it's on the PC. I do have Bad Company series & it's pretty cool so far. I'll give Battlefield 3 a shot when it comes out in six months.

Going Back to Karkand #1: Your chance to relive the greatest Battlefield maps ever

Anyone who preorders Battlefield 3 will receive our first themed expansion pack at no extra charge. When Lead Designer Niklas Fegraeus got the assignment to lead the expansion pack, his thoughts immediately went to the four most played and loved maps in the history of Battlefield: Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman, and Sharqi Peninsula. Combined, these four maps have been played for an incredible 25,000 man years!

This is no simple map pack. Back to Karkand will also include iconic Battlefield 2 weapons and vehicles to bring back to the base game, new unlocks and persistence, and more content that we will talk about later.

I'm glad they didn't add the chinese maps imo those maps were just way to big (even for 64 players)..hmm are the chinese even a faction in bf3?

I never had a PC good enough to run BF2, but I played Battlefield: MC on my PS2 and 360. I've played a lot of shooters, but that game was just fun for me. I'd like to see some of those type maps make a return. I know it's not likely, but it's worth wishing for

Is the free expansion pack granted for preordering any BF3 version or is it only for limited editions ? ... is the expansion for consoles also ?

For now it's pre-orders. They did the same thing with Bad Company 2, basically any pre-order was the "limited edition" and it was sold at regular price, even after the game was released I saw "limited edition" cases at retailers for about a month until they sold out. Basically it was an insert that had an Xbox/PSN code to download the additional content.

How related are MOH and BF3 ? ... I know that the first wasnt as good as advertised ... also I somewhat liked BC but this seem on an entirely new level, in terms of graphics and gameplay ... I am actually excited about this game ... if only they could release consoles videos or pictures.

New Battlefield 3 information has emerged from an unusual source; Tomas Danko voice-over producer for <acronym title="Digital Illusions CE">DICE</acronym> is a keen tweeter and is certainly excited to be working on Battlefield 3. Tomas is making daily tweets in regards to his voice-over work and has given away some interesting facts of which some are compiled below:

• 35+ Voice actors for Multiplayer. (The most ever for a multiplayer experience).
• No Chinese voice-over (can we assume no involvement from the Chinese in game?).
• 158 hours of overtime has been spent working on voice-over so far by Tomas.
• Battlefield 3 will feature an increased level of swearing over Bad Company 2.
• Single player has dedicated voice-overs for foreign factions.
• Multiplayer foreign factions will have broken English voice overs not dedicated.
• There are over 300 voice-over variations when killing someone. Some broken english examples are given; "Hostile/Enemy down", "I took that ****er out" and "That mother ****er is dead" are a few of the listed take down phrases.
