I also like Operation Métro for Conquest. The fight for B is insane.

I've been meaning to try out that map for Conquest, but a lot of the servers have pings near the 90 ranges for me.

I must be dumb or just not know how to do it, but I swear I can't find hardcore mode.

I think you have to look for it in the Server Browser filter settings, not sure but I know I did that to strictly look for US East Servers.

Still trying to work my way through and get unlocks, figure out which guns and setups work best for me. Seems like I need to get a little more used to the aiming, controls in the BF series... at times I feel like my shots are spot on but yet I'm missing.. maybe I'm not leading enough. Just really used to the buttery smooth responsiveness from CoD controls.

Also not sure but it seems like strafe shooting, is less effective in this game. Does anyone know if you lose accuracy if you're firing while strafing? (moving side to side) I've lost some gunfights where I was strafing and shooting while the other guy was standing still. Maybe I need to tweak my sensitivity.

Hey BF vets, here's a question - How much of an effect does suppressive fire have on a player? I know it does something since you get a score bonus for it, does it decrease your accuracy while you're being shot at?

I'm a little dissappointed in the new instruments in this game. The mortar just tickles people on the other team. The SOFLAM requires someone else to actually target it. The motion sensor can't be thrown like in BC2. The MAV shouldn't be able to kill people by roadkilling. I haven't seen the EOD bot yet, but i'm not optimistic about it.

By far my best game to date in BF3 in a air vehicle.

It was awesome. My one person in my squad would be running around capturing flags and calling out whether he needed suppressing fire or not. Destroyed a bunch of tank (at least assisted kills) helis and jets.

Blurs your vision massively, harder to aim. If you're using say an IR scope it turns bright white and you need to seek cover.

Disagree on the mortar. It can be a game changer. If the attack is bogged down you deploy smoke on the objectives and your teammates usually charge and arm. Once armed you spam the crap out of it so they can't disarm. I will use it in rounds when we haven't armed anything and are down to 30 tickets. On defense when the obj is armed I smoke it so my guys can defuse safely out of harm from snipers.

until you get on a terrible team and get pushed back into your spawn...for that reason, i hate that map.

I've been playing with randoms and getting frustrated at the lack of teamwork. This isn't CoD people!

Any OSers on the 360 version my gamertag is tanis38. Help! lol

The server are starting to screw me over. I tried to get in multiple maps only to lose my connection to that session. I was invited to join some OSers only to be placed on the Russians while they were Americans. Today has been one of the worst.

Unfortunately my Internet is down with this nor'easter here in New England.

They are saying this is the worst power outages CT has seen. Funny, because they always say that. At least I have power. Pays to live in a small town where they "take care of the residents" due to their stature. Which I also think is bogus. But such is life.

Trees sagging hard. They are not "frozen" enough for a storm this big, so the soft branches got some huge trees sagging to the ground as they take on snow. And also having leaves still on them does not help.

So I would be playing. Guess I will go read a book. Keep the posts coming in here though to entertain.
