Finally got a team to realize that laying down smoke in Metro for capturing flags was a good idea to let us push forward, spent 75% of the match fighting the other team from taking all 3 flags, ended up losing with the other team only have 8 tickets left. Best part was the other team kept trying to flank from outside to B and I just sat there mowing them down, racking up kills.

How do you lay smoke down?

For all the ps3 guys I will be on after monday night football unless someone is getting blown out then I will be on before the game is over

Reviving isn't pointless in BF3 though. The time you get revived and are laying there with your pistol, with the option to accept the revive or respawn, you could kill the enemy just around the corner. You get an easy kill and possibly no death counted to the team tickets or your own stats if you accept the revive, or just take the death and respawn.

Anybody else notice that when you are getting shot at and you go prone behind something you still end up getting shot?

Yeah sometime, but you can't really fully eliminate that problem because its just a connection latency problem. On the host box (in this case the server), those shots hit you before you get behind the cover.

Reviving isn't pointless in BF3 though. The time you get revived and are laying there with your pistol, with the option to accept the revive or respawn, you could kill the enemy just around the corner. You get an easy kill and possibly no death counted to the team tickets or your own stats if you accept the revive, or just take the death and respawn.

The changes they made to reviving are really good in this game, I've definetly had much less of the get revived by a teammate and instant-killed again. I think both the ability to reject the revive and being revived in prone really help.

I just got so frustrated I turned it off. I went from going 9-0 with the jet and getting over 2,000 points in games with it yesterday to I was just 0-7 on the 3rd set of bases with 0 points. Why? I have no clue. I was chasing the guy in my jet, locked on, shot my rockets and they just completely missed him. He didn't deploy his flares either, my rockets straight up missed, no hit markers or smoke on his plane either. Then literally 3 seconds after I shot my rockets at him I am locked on to and deploying my flares. Well, I deployed my flares and I kid you not, 5 seconds later something else is locked on to me and has shot me down. Turns out the guy in the jet I am BEHIND and chasing somehow was locked on to me.

How in the hell does that work?! I obviously either forgot how to use the jets over night or something very weird was happening that game. Either way I am extremely frustrated with the game right now.

I understand your frustration. Not sure if there was something shady going on in your particular situation, but there has been a serious outbreak of hackers lately. PB has been on a rampage today with over 70 bans so far. It's a shame some people have to cheat and ruin the game for everyone.

I will be taking a break from this game. The last straw was today playing rush and we were attackers and 80% of playing were laying prone at the spawn point sniping. I can't deal with it.

I think it'll get a little better on November 8th, I really do. However, they will still be there. Playing with a few people you know or from OS, etc is the best way to combat it. It was happening near the end of BC2 as well, so it's not something that will entire go away.

Yup, when MW3 comes out all of the people who play COD-like on BF3 will be gone and the game should get better.
