Well you can see who needs ammo or health by their squares in the mini map, you can see where health and ammo are dropped by their circles on the mini map...

Yeah, those little icons that appear over teammates heads are a need for medpac or ammo. Makes it a LOT easier to effectively resupply your squad...

I'm good Lt. Dan! Fun games the other night, but I haven't been on in a few days and I'm having withdrawal symptoms lol. Every time I see a video on BF3 it gets to me. I get what little fix I can from visiting the forums, but I hope to get back on the battlefield with you guys REAL soon!

Game is fun, but MAN do they ever make you grind before you get guns you actually WANT! I snipe a lot of the time, but not with that opening rifle. I've played almost 3hrs online and haven't even unlocked the sv98 or whatever it is. I guess it's better if you prefer other classes, since the m16 seems good.

I didn't realize immediately that I NEED to play recon to unlock those real sniper rifles, so for a while I was trying to unlock new guns playing with better classes...I do like the power of the handguns though I have a few kills with them at close range.

Try defending a base with Recon. Instead of a sniper rifle, use a Shotty and just wait for the enemy. At least you will get the Recon points to unlock other weapons in the kit. If you have the sensor plant that around the flag.

The Recon class needs a way to defend against vehicles though. If a tank rolls through to the base all you can do is hope one of your teammates understands that you are in trouble. I wish they still had the C4 option on them.

I think it's 2 C4's to disable a tank and 3 to destroy it completely in BF3.

Something that's frustrating me with this campaign..

I'm on Thunder Run where you have to get out of the tank, get the clicker, and get back and detonate it. I've played this part at least 8 times and the first two times I couldn't make it to the clicker. I figured out what to do and I've got there and got back 5 straight times and detonated it.

Every ****ing time I try to get back in the tank.. I get blown up. If I stand back and wait and crouch.. the second I stand up I get popped. If I stand behind the tank waiting for it to tell me to get in, they shoot an rpg.. If I crawl up to the tank and try to avoid fire altogether and then get to the side to get in.. I get ****ing shot down.

and it makes me replay it over from where you first roll up on the guy in the tank.. this **** is ridiculous and makes me cuss out loud.

In BC2, the mortar strikes were great against tanks. I don't know how that works with BF3..

They work but only if the health is low.

Yeah they were great. Unfortunately support also has the motors now along with the C4. The SOFLAM laser designation is all you get as a recon. Once you mark it hopefully engineer or plane sees it and fires a javelin or something similar.

I don't think I've destroyed a vehicle with a motor yet. I've gotten assist damage but I haven't outright blew one up. Most of the time I cannot see where the motor lands. I see reported vehicles and fire. I couldn't tell you if they hit or not.

Just checking in to everyone.

Day 4 of no electricity, heat, or running water here. Some reports are saying up to two weeks before power is restored. My town is 100% out. Still trees down on power lines ripped out for miles. Looks like a war went through here. Such a nasty heavy blizzard.

They have yet to clean up to even start running new lines. So pathetic. Worst this state has ever seen.

I am going to be so far behind in rank. But obviously I have worse **** to worry about. Just got called in for some crazy overnight shifts the next few days because of the fear of people going to start looting, etc.

I will keep people updated periodically.

I thikn they stay for a little while at least if I remember correctly.
