I don't play much conquest.

I used to love the hell out of on Battlefield MC2, but haven't enjoyed it on either Bad Company or BF3. I liked how on BF MC2 for the PS2 there were about 6 flags. I know they aren't looking back that far, but I wish they would remake a few of those maps.. they were a lot of fun.

Metro and Damavand peak are just vertical tunnels, while Seine Crossing is just a bad map for everything. Linear flag positions are terrible for Conquest.



Agreed.

Yep, I definitely agree on that. Way too hard to break through when there is only one way into B if you lose it. Just becomes not fun at that point.

That strategy video posted a couple pages back shows Seine Crossing on PC. The crossing actually plays as part of the map on it as there are a couple of capture points on the other side of the bridge, where only the US deployment is there on consoles. That would make a huge difference. I am sure it was shrunk down due to the maximum players on console.

Grand Bazaar is probably my favorite Conquest map on the game. The battle for B there is awesome.

It'll remove the very first mine you placed and keep the next 5 along with the one you just placed.

I always choose Quick Match and most of the time I will get thrown into a game of Conquest. For some reason I like it much better than Conquest on BC2. I am always attacking the flags, and sneaking up on people from behind and stealing their tags. So fun.

If I had an HD capture card I would record all my time in a jet and make a slow-mo montage of me crashing over and over again set to the music of Top Gun

If air vehicles are marked using the SOFLAM laser than you can lock onto air vehicles with the Jav, but if they are not, then it only locks onto ground vehicles.

Today has been abad day for me. Was running with a couple of OSers when the game froze. Tried to relaunch and it froze again. Another relaunch and another freeze. Giving the PS3 a rest and I'm gonna try for a last time.

Agreed. Linear flag positions can work though, as BC2 had a few, but the difference was they were either spread out more, offered enough horizontal play space and cover to challenge the middle flag from several angles, or had 4 flags instead of 3.

Karkand maps have me excited because they only had to worry about designing them for Conquest. Obviously they will need to be changed and downsized for console, but the geometry and layout of flags on PC for 16-32 players gives me hope for more square-ish flag positions, or at least offset flags in the middle.
