What's wrong with giving away the positions of the entire opposition? A lot of times I'll spend a whole round with the MAV and rack up 4-5 surveillance efficiency ribbons (That's 20-25 motion sensor assists). I've got over 1000 assists with the MAV now, although I'm done with recon as soon as I get the service star and medal

you'll have 24 tank mines laying around to neutralize tanks
Just remember Tank mines blow up other tank mines. An obvious pile of tanks mines laying out in the open is worse than 2-3 tank mines well hidden.

It's more annoying when they try to road kill you. Otherwise i think it's fine if they are doing recon. It's a pain to shoot down but it's supposed to be.

I do not agree with this at all. I hardly have any fun losing, even if I go 20-3 with 8,600 points. I have more fun winning, going 8-8 with 6,500 points.

            Re: Battlefield 3

the last 2 days I have been playing with randoms and it has been no fun at all. Out of about 15 rounds I maybe have won 3 or 4 at the most. My teammates have been horrible. Nobody is throwing out health, reviving, or throwing out ammo. Its so frustrating to see that you have a squad full of assualts and when you die next to your entire squad nobody revives you.

In almost every round my team has been spawn trapped. And for some reason when we get spawned trapped, everyone on my team thinks its a good idea to switch to recon and start snipping. One reason my team kept getting spawned trapped on operation metro is because 95% of my team thinks the only way to get to B is by coming up the stairs on the side and this is us starting in the subway.

There is noway you should get spawned trapped on Caspian Border. The map is to big but the last round I played there it happened with us starting on the side closest to the highway and the border part. I would sneak around and go capture C or B but one person can only hold a flag for so long. None of my squadmates would spawn on me, and none of my teammates would spawn on the flag

It's not hard to avoid claymores at all... They stick out in plain sight, if you crouch/prone you can get by it, blow it up with explosives, pick it up from behind.

I don't mean to get the whole debate about camping riled up again, but what do you mean ? If I'm in a building and watching out of a window to help defend an objective, what's the harm in placing a claymore down to protect someone from coming in behind me ?

Isn't there also a squad perk or something that helps detect where enemy explosives are located ?

I usually lay mine in threes, to ensure that the vehicle can't get through the roadway without coming in contact with one of them, but if I'm planning to swap classes, I'll spread them out more.

I like playing hardcore with TK's turned on, but man is frustrating when your teammates are idiots. Was playing a round on Caspian Border, and one of my teammates TK'd me when I was trying to kill the guy behind him, because he thought I was the one shooting him. So he TK's me, then the guy I was trying to kill, kills him.

Dont play it like the other game. I love guys that isolate themselves in a building. I know right where they are and it takes .5 seconds to think of a creative way to kill them without running into the building.

Most of these guys are looking down their scope into a choke point and not scanning the outside areas. Stay out of the wide open and they are a sitting duck because they rarely move. The guys that shoot and scoot are much more of a problem than guys that sit in a building.

If there is no objective they aren't really "camping" are they. They are just hiding.

Or maybe they are healing themselves.

                          Or re-arming.

Or maybe crying a little bit.

nah they arent hiding they are clearly camping...One particalar time i had at least 3 guys in a building on metro with claymores everywhere...would knoc one out only to be greeted by another one so as i took the next flight of stairs...I've seen it happen quite a few times...very cheap tactic..guy got me twice one game with that **** . At least make it a limit on how many you can have and since i only play assault cant really knock the buildings down

Don't place them in such obvious spots. Everyone always places them clear in sight and where everyone else places them. It's not hard to spot them from a mile away and just shoot at them with the tanks. Try areas in the shadows or maybe some on the off roads.

Also, I met my goal of reaching rank 45 before Back to Karkand releases tomorrow!

In my 2nd game of conquest in a good group of randoms last night, we got Caspian. We started at the base closest to the gas station flag...the whole team took off and I had a tank all to myself.

So I rolled up the road and parked my tank at the gas station, near one of the buildings across from the flag. I hopped out, secured the flag/area, and spent the round guarding it all by myself while my team got their game on.

I blasted an enemy tank, but occupants fled it before I could blow it up. Otherwise, 0 kills, 0 deaths, and a few hundred points for the flag and vehicle destroy.

I know it sounds boring, but I enjoyed holding down my flag for the team and spotting aircraft for our pilots and engineers. We got a dominant win.
