Against the general audience, yes this game is pretty easy. I love playing in games with players who play at a high level. That doesn't happen too often as those games are usually filled right away and it's tough to find a spot. It's awesome to play with 12 guys against another 12 who can hold their own and not play in some lopsided game where there's maybe 3 or 4 good players dominating another team who happened to filled with casual players.

I say from now on, you play AGAINST the OS crew. If that doesn't give you a challenge, I've got nothing for you. LolComment

Re: Battlefield 3
Sure, if I can get 3 of my friends on my squad at least, I'll enjoy it. If I'm stuck with a bunch of randoms who just like to drive the main vehicles into enemy territory and decide to hop out, no thank you.
I'm not trying to say that I'm some sort of almighty bf3 player because I'm not. I like the feeling of just being just the average player and being put into my rightful place by these truly amazing players. Of course, the feeling of actually placing as one of the MVP's in these games is awesome. Also, usually just about every game comes right down to the wire and you can win or lose at any given moment.
In a casual environment it's generally a dominating win or a dominating loss. A dominating loss is frustrating whereas a dominating win is probably the most boring thing to be apart of. Yeah, there are a couple of close games here and there, but they do not happen enough for my likings.
Another reason why I wish they brought in a decent clan system. BF2MC for the ps2 had a solid clan system, yet these next-gen games do not have the slightest hint of having one.Last edited by mikenoob; 02-05-2012, 10:58 PM.Comment

It's not worth playing with randoms. The stupid I see sometimes... it hurts my eyes.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
I may be in the minority, but I enjoy being good and dominating.
Don't get me wrong, It's fun playing against good teams and taking a loss sometimes, but I don't see what's so bad about being great at a game.
I don't get bored with this game, but then again, I don't play every day anymore and when I get on, It's still fresh to me.Comment

It's great to be skilled at a game, win and all that. My issue is just that it doesn't feel very rewarding to me if I can pretty much do that without really trying. Quality opponents changes all that and gives me what i expect everytime i buy these games. If I could join such a game consistently, I would. Too bad there's only so many slots and it's impossible for me to get in on these games. Normally when you see me sitting at the bf3 menus, this is why. Constantly pressing x to join a friend's game, but no one ever leaves til it gets late. By then, everyone else quits at about the same time and I'm back to these casual games. Yeah, I know it's a video game and it should be relaxing and all about fun, but for shooters I at least want some kind of competitive edge. I do play for fun and enjoy joking around, but they haven't even fixed the chat issues and there's only 3 other people to talk too. Before each round even starts, you can already tell what the end result will be just by looking at the list of players. With a game full of quality opponents, games aren't so predictable and can go either way. Without any type of private server/clan system, it's tough to get a string of games going. Maybe shooting games just aren't for me. Looking at the total playtime for the shooters I have played on this generation of consoles (those that record such stats of course) I've spent about 3 days total on average. I feel burnt out as soon as I hit that magical 3 day count.

Again, I'm not trying to downplay those who have different views and I'm just some high class pretty boy who expects nothing but top notch things. It's kind of like playing in a recreational basketball league as opposed to the varsity team in high school. I can put up the numbers and dominate in a recreational league, but so what? Most of these guys are just casual players and probably signed up just to get their fix of playing basketball and to get in shape. I'd much rather contribute on a team against other teams at the same level or higher as I am. If I drop 20 points on varsity, that feels much more rewarding than dropping 20 or 30 points in the recreational league.Last edited by mikenoob; 02-06-2012, 12:39 AM.Comment

Unfortunately with this game all the "high ranked" guys in this are game vehicle junkies or Supply+Claymore+USAS12 campers. I spend most if not all my time out of vehicles on the ground and it's not so easy. Of course if you run with a good squad it is easy or fun. Running with randoms is bad at times but isn't that a challenge? Maintaining a 2+ KD on a bad team is a challenge. Yeah you lose sometimes but that's where the game is fun/challenging that to me is enough.
On one hand people complain about it being to easy and then on the other people complain about being with horrible randoms. Well if anyone plays with that mindset you won't find a balance in the game. Not all randoms are "randoms", some are squadmates and play well with each other and some "random" teams play the objective very well and others don't.
I just don't get the "too easy argument" unless it's some type of exploit in the game. There are far more easy matches in COD than in BF3*For the sake of comparison*. I have not run with anybody on OS or with OS who has dominated each and every match unless vehicles and a good engineer teammate were involved or just playing noobs. Plus some OS could go on a win streak and the moment we get worked all of sudden people start signing off or ejecting the disc hahaha. I like to take my beatings*whenever they happen* and see if there's a way to stop it and if not after 3 games of being dominated then I bounce lol.
Here's how the game works: You either Dominate. Win Close. Lose Close. Get Dominated. What else is there?
To be honest I think some are hyping themselves when it comes to this game, cant blame bad/stupid teammates after every loss or bad performance, sometimes the other team is just better plain and simple.Last edited by PaperBoyx703; 02-06-2012, 12:37 AM.PSN: TBD

Oh and for Dog, LtDan, and Authentic I did not join you guys because I knew the guy with us. Plus I was on a roll and didn't want to ruin my rhythm by pausing and messaging and switching and all that jazz.PSN: TBD

Also, I'm not talking about "randoms" in general. I referred to the "randoms" who love to give-up all the important vehicles to the opposing team or something of that caliber.Last edited by mikenoob; 02-06-2012, 01:27 AM.Comment
