Using a tank for kills is lame ?

Here I was thinking it was ****ing awesome blowing **** up with a T90 or being in a tank as either the CITV guy or driver and taking down a helicopter....

Kinda lame using a tank for kills but when i seen your name couldnt help but crack a smile

I think vehicles are what make Battlefield special. Offers some variety that I think would be sorely missed without them.

What's funny is that most times, we can dominate the entire game in tanks. And although thats true, and it seems to be OS's vehicle of choice, most OS guys are just as good on foot and can dominate without using them.

RULES: Only use EOD Bots. Once your EOD bot is taken out, you must suicide.

Wait,WHAT??? are you kidding me? what else are the tanks for then...set piece decorations??...this isn't COD,if I have access to a vehicle,you'd better believe I'm going to hop in it,and wreck havoc.

Likewise...If no vehicle is available,I have no problem shooting someone in the face or taking their tags.
That's (imo) what separates the BF series from the other military shooters,the option IS available to either "foot" it or "vehicle" it.....saying it's "lame" for using a tank to get kills is ...well...kinda lame.

I wanted to do a squad rush with only pistols, maybe just the .44 Magnum and MP-412 REX... and of course, the knife..

As far as the tank situation goes, you're right Cowher; there are so many ways to approach this game, which allows people to do what they're best at.

My vehicle complaints actually stem more from a development standpoint, I guess. Not a user one. I don't blame people for using the hell out of them since they can.

I just think it would be great to have longer vehicle spawn times. Taking down a chopper isn't easy, so when you do take one down, the other team should really have to pay for it. Same goes with a tank.

It would make for more interesting games, I think. You know you can't just roll up wherever you want with a tank, as if you lose it, a new one won't be waiting at the base.

If Battlefield didn't have vehicles, I wouldn't play it. It just seems that there is an insane amount compared to what I became extremely accustomed to in BC2. But, maybe that is the issue is that I'm comparing them when I should not be.

My only counterpoint would be: For every skilled pilot/tank driver out there, there's around 3-5 people who completely suck at it.

I can't count the times someone has jumped in the Havoc or Viper, only to crash it within 15 seconds. I know I did, the first time I ever piloted one..

I think the spawn times are about right, except for maps like Operation Firestorm, where there are times where it becomes a battle of Tanks and Choppers on such a small map with so many vehicles.

I do understand your' point, though... some maps should have longer spawn times or less vehicles available.

I've also been trying to just engage tanks less, unless I feel I have an advantage. However, in the past, if I see a tank, I engage it when I could easily let it roll past me. So, I've been trying to just use mines to help control them and in terms of destroying vehicles, trying to take down choppers, which is incredibly fun.
