I've got a habit of sort of trolling tanks, sometimes.

If I'm an Assault/Medic and I'm pinned down, I'll play ring around the rosy to keep him busy, long enough for a team mate to come in with an RPG or C4. There's no point in just running into certain death, when the only thing I'm armed with is an M320 that does minimal damage.

Tank mines are under used. The only problem is, it seems every time I'm using them, I catch myself needing a repair torch.

I played in a "scrim" today, mostly friends all from different clans against SOB. Each game was pretty close down to the last 20 tickets. Only issue we had was that we had a few randoms not wanting to leave. They kept taking the jets and choppers while even taking up slots that would have been filled by our pilots. A couple great jet pilots to team up with a chopper could easily dominate a game. We couldn't get them out of the air, which in turn they shut down our ground vehicle support. Couldn't even drive a tank or jeep out of the spawn without dying in seconds. Bring on the private servers!

Team chat works great If you're already accustomed to the different voices. Everyone would be calling out names so others wouldn't get confused of who's talking to who. "dark there's a jet on your six. There's 3 sitting on b by the back rocks, Blackbeard" I really wish I still had hours of game time with no responsibilities as if I was 13 again. I could play battlefield with that level of communication all day long.

Not to get sidetracked on Clan talk too much, but I feel like we're starting to get that level of communication between some of the OSers, here..


We've still got some who need to get better about calling out, but the more we've played together, the better we've become. Just calling out flanking soliders and basic postitions goes a long way, well beyond just using the spot feature. People have saved me from having my tags taken, just by alerting me to someone being behind me..

That's something they never would be able to do without a mic. I still feel like it's essential to play with a mic. I don't want to play without one and It's tough playing with guys who don't use one.. especially once you get used to that level of communication.

Using a tank for kills is lame ?

Here I was thinking it was ****ing awesome blowing **** up with a T90 or being in a tank as either the CITV guy or driver and taking down a helicopter....

We all have our preferences on what we think is ****ing awesome i guess

I just dont find it very satisfying or fun using the tanks . I feel a much more sense of accomplishment by taking out people the old fashioned way ...with my gun.

Sure i could jump in a tank and ride around with help and kill people all game. Not saying its that easy but i just dont get off on it.

To each his own im not knocking you if thats what you like. I've just always liked my shooters to involve shooting (with a gun).

Never been a Halo or Twisted Metal Ace Combat fan i come from a Socom (PS2) background. I just appreciate the pure gun on gun aspect more.

With that being said i still love this game as i'm now over the 200 hour mark. Best shooter ever IMO

Game has something in it for EVERYONE.

Personally I love the vehicles. Vehicles and map size are what separates the game from other FPS. The only thing that annoys me is when I'm playing against a team that knows what their doing and I'm stuck with randoms that don't ever try to take a vehicle out (and I'm stuck trying to take out a tank myself with an engineer reparing it everytime I hit it with a RPG). Because in this game vehicles have a huge influence on the outcome of a match.

Memphis BBQ is good stuff. Especially like dry-rub ribs at Corky's.

My weekend was so screwed up I can't remember if I even played BF3 at all...we had company all Sat evening, and Sunday I was unavailable. I'll be on this week.

The CE will be here tomorrow via amazon I can say I'll also be playing BF3 this week because a few bad rounds of TW13 will make me want to go kill online.

According to BF3 Stats, I have Caniac, TMagic_01, krzyman1, mikenoob, marino13882, iliv3forthis_ (x2), TheSleepe12, xPaPeRBoYx24 (x2), and BATTL3F13ND. I have more than what's listed for marino13882 and iliv3forthis_ because it only counts multiples if you do it in 2 separate games, and I got both those guys twice in one game before.

xPaPeRBoYx24 has gotten me at least 4 times now, and twice in one game, making his count only 3 on me. TMagic_01 AND TMagic11 each have my tags once, as does mikenoob and iliv3forthis_

So that's 13 OSers tags I've gotten and only 8 that have gotten mine

Haven't been apart of any of the conversation here, but just noticed that OS has a Ps3 clan going on. Been looking into doing something like this. Is there a selection process or something like that? I would consider myself a pretty good player if that has anything to do with it.

Edit to add: Found your Battlelog page. I would be interested in joining and would be interested in clan battles. I play very team based, lots of rushing and playing objective.
