Holy ****...that was my first match post-patch (and in a while) and it was insane haha. Easily wins the award for the most ridiculous BF3 match. I love how bloated that match made my stats; something like 66 ribbons and 25,000 assault points, 69 kills with the L85A2 (although I can't even mention how many times I got killed having to reload so damn often). Now I know why running with a LMG w/ extended mag is a much better idea haha. It was nice with assault though--there were a few times I could just sit back and rev rev rev with all the damn M320 explosions going off.
It will be interesting when they add a few more small, no-vehicle maps like metro in the next map pack. More options for those 2,000 ticket endurance matches. It really feels like a brand new mode even though it is just conquest.
Do any other maps offer that? Also, I thought the patch was adding more assignments but I don't see any: was that nixed?Comment

Those matches are custom servers, they chose to make it 24/7 metro with a load of tickets. My buddies run their own server too and we just make it 400 tickets each map on conquest and I think it's 600-600 for Metro. It's not too long, but still a good amount of time to enjoy the match. I love that you can kick people or move people to other teams.
We spawned on the A side, but we let the other team grab all 3 points before we made our move. It was actually pretty fun trying to force our way out of being spawn raped. After we captured A, we fought a bit a B just around the ticket booth. I didn't know the other guys were just holding back just to keep the game lasting longer, I just hear, "Alright guys time to take B" All of a sudden, we had B in our hands and we let them keep C just to prolong the match.
Month of March was a great month for me!

Lots of my fellow PC'ers strongly dislike the patch. A friend of mine even uninstalled the game after logging 200 hours because he was so upset.Comment

Here's just one example of the whining from the Battlelog forums.....
This patch is so horrible. Bad hitbox, recoil, hit detection. Assault rifles damage output is terrible. I can't tell you how many times I unloaded in someone's face from 5 feet away to hit nothing....nothing!!! M320 is ungodly slow and has a smaller damage ring. Again I've used it in close quarter's to do absolutely ZERO damage!!! Been also noticing people moving across the screen in the prone position at fast rates. I know it's some glitch that of course needs to be patched. This game was bad before this patch but at least it was playable and somewhat enjoyable. I don't understand why PS3 players must pay the price to get abused like this. There's a very good reason this wasn't released on all platforms....It was never ready to begin with and they are using the PS3 community to get the kinks out before release to XBOX and PC. I disagree with what those guys are saying. It's not bad hit detection, it's reduced accuracy. People don't know how to adapt. Look at my Metro game...I changed the way I used the PKP and it acted like it did pre-patch. People need to adaptEagles | Phillies | Sixers | Flyers
