Well,the best way I can describe them is this way....if you like the Call of Duty style maps (shoe box) and gameplay (fast and frantic) you'll enjoy these maps.
The first thing that came to my mind while playing these is "this isn't Battlefield"...forget everything you know about Battlefield (large scale warfare) and play it as though it's COD and you'll be fine.

Hell they even copied a game mode from CODBO....this is called Gun Master...you start with a pistol,get 2 kills (iirc) then move to another gun and so on.
The maps themselves look awesome,and the level of destruction is pretty good,but for my taste,the gameplay is NOT Battlefield....it's so painfully obvious the "crowd" they are hoping to attract with these maps.

So bottom line is...if you enjoy COD,then these maps will be right up your alley.

when you say "shoebox" as far as size are they smaller than the standard TDM maps?

Because even the regular TDM maps on BF3 are like twice the size of a COD map

To me they seemed smaller. these are more multi level maps with lots of corriders,and such. 8v8 actually to me seems like to many,if it was 6v6,I could see it being a little better,but I now know after playing them that there would've been no way in hell that you could play 12v12 on these.

Oh yeah, Lt. Dan, clearing the cache worked. Well, it looks like it worked. I jumped into my first game and my assault class was set up like I liked it from the get go. So when I turn it on tonight hopefully everything I did last night will be saved. It seems trivial, but it is so nice not to have to switch those things everytime, especially for vehicles.

So I came back down to Earth after starting out hot. Guess the patch never really turned me into super Magic after all.

But I did manage to actually kill Chizzy a few times. Usually he completely whips my *** when we're on opposite teams. And I was actually able to nemesis BDSuperfly and take his dog tags. So that made me feel better because he usually owns me too. Lol

I think Marino stole some of that magic from you. He was on a roll last night. LOL

I downloaded it from the ps store in the first place, started it up on BF3, game froze. I reset my ps3, canceled the corrupt download and downloaded from the PS Store. It didn't work for me.

I downloaded it and after the install it froze on the loading screen, so I rebooted and it works now.

I really enjoy these maps for what they are. They have a COD feel, but you can still do work with teamwork. Plus it is a good change of pace from the large maps.

Well i played for the first time yesterday, nice to see that Flares are still OP on Aircraft....*sigh*

I'm kinda liking this new patch too. I played 3 or 4 games with nuni last night after the basketball game and we did pretty well.

The last game, Nuni musta got a disconnect halfway through, but we were straight dominating that game of conquest on Grand Bazaar. I got 2 Nemesis Ribbons, on 2 different guys. So that means I killed them both at least 7 times each. That was fun.

I also got my tags taken with the new knife last night. Maybe the first time it didn't totally tick me off when I died by knife.

Oh man we were tearing it up in all the games we played, and yes out of nowhere I got "disconnected from server" messege and it signed me out ughhhh. Other than that it was fun times Koolie, kudos on the knife aswell. Got my tags taken prolly from the same dude u did lol.

Loving the patch!! It plays just like it's supposed to. Should be on tonight Koolie before/after the B Ball game , 360 users are free to join us.

Nuni, I hadn't played Conquest in so long. It took me a little while to get back in that mindset. It was fun. This game just doesn't get old, I'm getting pretty excited for the DLC now. I 've had a couple good nights after the patch, so I'm sure that helps.

Conquest Domination is only on Close Quarters maps, has no RU/US deployment, has random spawns, and flags cap in the blink of an eye
