Dammit, TMagic.....I had 7 knife kills. Was chasing down #8 for a while when out of nowhere he just drops and I see your name pop up. FML.

re-picked this up again tonight (had sold it) thanks to my powerups rewards I was able to get the game for $5,so I thought why not.

DAMN....am I rusty..lol. Thought I would be able to jump back into the "groove"...nope,no such luck, but I gotta say I enjoyed myself, and in the end that's all that matters.

I'm thinking about buying the PC version of the game. Does anyone play the PC version? And how is the online on PC?

Pretty sure there is a very strong community on PC since it allows 64 players online compared to 24 on console.

          Graphics are amazing as well.

Yeah, the game still has a pretty strong following.. on console and PC.

Anyone else really enjoy Alborz Mountain ? I'm usually not an avid engineer, but I love it on the Armored Kill maps... so many mine kills.

I also love planting mines in the road on top of the hill and bating the armored vehicles into coming after me..

I have it for PC but uninstalled it. I need to play with a people I know not with randoms. Playing with randoms is so unenjoyable.

Alborz was the first map I played last night (damn beautiful map)...and let me tell ya,you've seen mice chase a piece of cheese in the maze?....well that was good ol' Kramerking last night..lol

I had NO idea where I was going,so I just huddled between "B" and"C",and dared somebody to come into my territory.

I was absolutely amazed by the scope of the map,but I will say this....next gen HAS to have 64 player counts....playing a map of this size is simply to large for only 24 players.

It reminded me of "heavy metal" from Bad Company 2,such a huge and expansive map,but the player count absolutely destroyed it.

Overall though,I'm glad I picked up the game again....but this time I'm just going to play for fun, without the hassle of the ultra competitive platoon nonsense...maybe I'll find a "fun" get together platoon just to go in and randomly kill some fools...lol.

I agree with you about the maps size. They are just too big for the player count. Which sucks because they are absolutely gorgeous. By far the best looking maps in the game.

And I'd be down for clan [FUN].

I was under the impression that you'd moved to the 360 version.
If we can get enough of us PS3ers together,I think it would be a blast just to have a "fun" clan.

Hell, that could even be our clan tag...FUN,don't know if we need to make it stand for anything...I would think the tag would be pretty self explanatory..lol

                      Re: Battlefield 3

                      I'm still playing pretty regularly

So are BD, Pope, ND, toxictouch, etc.

Then I see jnny and thng on from time to time. We don't have the same number, but we still have enough to put together a good squad usually.

I can't blame some people for moving on, especially with all of the good games out there. I just still have a blast with the game and I'm not interested in any other shooters until we get Battlefield 4.

As for the map size, if they can't get 64 on a dedicated console server, they should at least get us 48.. that would make things better.

                        Re: Battlefield 3

I still play occasionally, I just don't have a ton of time anymore so I haven't played with any OSers on PS3 in quite a while. The same goes for playing the most recent pack, Armored Kill. Haven't really gotten a chance to explore that too much. As I put extra time in on CQ I actually think those maps could support 24 people; I wish they would patch it so all maps could fit in a normal rotation. One of the annoying things I find is almost all the servers have identical map rotations.

I agree with Chase in that the next shooter I buy will be BF4. Whenever my friends get BO2 I'll give it a whirl on their dime, but I'm not hugely interested in that game except for maybe zombies to see how it has changed.

This game remains fun but those bugs that haven't gone away since release really get under my skin.
