      Re: Battlefield 3

question, i already own bf3 on the pc but was looking to pick this up for the xbox. If i buy a used copy of battlefield 3 premium edition do i need to buy all the dlc packs? or does this come on the disc? i wasnt sure if the prem edition comes with a code you have to put in for all the map packs? I just dont want to pay extra for the premium edition and have to buy the dlc packs also.

      thanks for any info

If you're looking at the premium version,I wouldn't buy used...as the code(s) have probably already been used,so you would then have to buy each map pack separately.

Here's the listing from Gamestop....it should tell you everythng you need to know.

Own more with the Battlefield 3 Premium Edition! This is the ultimate Battlefield 3 experience for everyone from first-time players to experienced Battlefield vets. The Battlefield 3 Premium Edition delivers all the driveable vehicles, destruction and team play of Battlefield 3 plus Battlefield 3 Premium membership, which includes all five Battlefield 3 expansion packs, and the Multiplayer Head Start Kit to even the playing ground when you log into multiplayer.

With Battlefield 3 Premium membership, you get a digital service which includes all five themed expansion packs for Battlefield 3 including Back to Karkand and Close Quarters, as well as early access to Armored Kill, Aftermath and End Game. Together these five digital expansion packs deliver a ton of new content, including 20 new maps, new weapons, more than 10 new vehicles, and four new game modes. You also get exclusive in-game items not available anywhere else, including the ACB-90 knife, a set of dog tags, and exclusive soldier and weapon camos. Plus, your membership lets you access powerful new features such as the ability to reset stats, queue priority into servers, and new decals for Platoon emblems.
You can also get a jump on the competition online with the Multiplayer Head Start Kit. The kit gives you immediate access to such powerful items as heat-seeking AA missiles for jets and helicopters, special gadgets such as the defibrillator, and T-UGS sensor, and weapons like the 40MM grenade launcher, M416 rifle, and M249 light machine gun. With 18 weapons, gadgets, and vehicle upgrades in all, the Multiplayer Head Start Kit is the edge you need to start dominating in online warfare.

        Battlefield 3 Premium Edition Features

Engage in all-out warfare with award-winning multiplayer, intense co-op, and thrilling single-player missions.
Get all 5 expansion packs including 20 new maps, 20 new weapons, 10 new vehicles, and 4 new game modes.
Ultimate vehicle warfare returns with Battlefield's signature vehicle warfare experience, including damaged vehicles that can retreat or be defended until they automatically regain armor.
A whole new level of destruction awaits as Frostbite 2 lets you chip away at cover, blow holes in walls, deform the terrain, and bring down entire building façades on enemies.
Get a head start online with 15 advanced weapons plus gadgets, vehicle upgrades, and more.
Never go into battle alone thanks to the powerful new community and social features of Battlelog.
        http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/gam...edition/103905

The game still lists as $60 new....which like I mentioned would probably be the way to go if you want all the map packs.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.
“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert
“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack Lambert

Had it once but then it has happened maybe once or twice more. I just rebooted and it hasn't really come up again.

I added OS to my name at the battlelog website.

You can add me on xbox - CoastalRyan

Once others see the OS tag they'll start adding you like they did me. I've found other OSers that way too. Usually I just join the same game server if I see a friend online. Then if I see other OS names on the same team I'll shoot them a friend request if they don't send me one first.

I doubt anyone is actually managing the Battlelog Community page.

I haven't logged into Battlelog in months.

I think BigHoff or Colonel Trauma created the 360 clan on Battlelog, so I'm not for sure if he has to send an invite or what. But even if you can't get in there, like Ryan said, if you set your clan tag to OS then most of the guys here will find each other in games. Normally, we'll all be on and start up or just jump into a game by joining the server of one of the guys on our friends list.

I was accepted into the os clan a little while ago and also accepted your friend request on xbox live. I played a cpl matches earlier with a friend and had a blast. it took me a couple games to get used to the way it played again after playing black ops for the last few months. it was def a refreshing change of pace, even though i seemed to get my butt handed to me a cpl matches

cant wait to get on and play with some of the os guys it should be a fun time. now i just need to level up and get some good weapons and attachments rolling.
