Heavy Rain was pretty different than most games. Not sure what youre really asking though.

Not sure Heavy Rain is the best, but it's easily the most identifiable as it truly attempted to define a new genre.

BackBreaker provided a new take on Football, but agian, I wouldn't call it the best.

I'm going to have to think on this one. Played too many games this year...

Maybe ModNation Racers customisation and community sharing. While not new in general, certainly new for consoles and the masses.

Heavy Rain wasn't new. Dragon's Lair? Night Trap? That hologram game with the cowboy? Pretty much the same as those with a much better story and some Sims/adventure game thrown in. Not to say it wasn't great but hardly new.

Yeah Heavy Rain was done before........just that most people here probably was just a little kid or not even born when Night Trap came out on the Sega CD.

Anybody that says Heavy Rain is anything like Night Trap, Dragon's Lair or Time Traveler has obviously never played Heavy Rain.

Indigo Prophesy(Spell?) was the most like Heavy Rain.

Heavy Rain felt a lot like Shenmue and a little like Sentient (PS1) for me. Very good game though.
