re: Saints Row: The Third
Just played the http://deckers.die/ mission.
This game is ****ing awesome.
Can't decide if I like that mission more, the Zimos mission with exploding rickshaws, or the fact that they play "Power" on that early mission where you set up your Saints HQ.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

There's a mission later that I think tops them all simply because it is so out there in a couple of ways...Do not click unless you have beaten the game.
SpoilerBurt Reynolds and zombies.

re: Saints Row: The Third
I've been playing this game a lot lately (my son already passed it). One of the things I noticed that you can do to make the missions where you ride shotgun with a guy who goes around and makes deals is...
SpoilerTake one of your armored up, souped up cars to the mission then get out of the beater they provide you and get into the nice ride you drove over to the mission. Makes the hard one where you are on 5 stars right away much easier. They simply cant do jack to your vehicle.Comment

re: Saints Row: The Third
This game is fun, just like the other two, but the sound is killing me. Cars and other sounds are all very quiet and lagging behind. I'll hit the gas and it takes a full second until I hear my car actually rev its engine up. Not too major, but seriously annoying.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

I just started a new campaign yesterday afternoon and beat it this afternoon to get some of the items I didn't get the first time through. I feel happier about the choices I made this time through. The mayor is great, seeing his car made me smile.Comment

re: Saints Row: The Third
Does this game require an online pass? It's at EB Games on sale for $39.99(new) & $34.99(used). I would get the used copy if the online pass is not required to save $5. If it is required I will just get the new copy as it would already come with it. Thanks."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Only if you want to play online co-op. I don't really see a need for it, but if you have friends with the game it would probably be fun to run around and cause some mayhem in the world.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

That's odd, have you checked other games to see if maybe its a system thing instead if just the game?

re: Saints Row: The Third
As far as sound delays, I've definitely heard a couple when activating nitrous, blowing up a car, etc. I've had trouble getting some sound effects at times.
I just think the developers had some trouble with so many things loading into memory at once.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

re: Saints Row: The Third
I received the game from Gamefly this week and put in a couple of hours this morning. I enjoy what I'm seeing so far. The mission's have been fun and I always enjoy the gameplay and atmosphere of the Saints Row games. I may end up keeping this from Gamefly.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

re: Saints Row: The Third
Just finished it this morning. Definitely the most fun I've had with a game this year. Looks like I got the good ending also, will have to go through it again just so I can make some different choices and see what happens.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

re: Saints Row: The Third
My other issues with the sounds are that cutscenes are like 150% the volume of the actual gameplay and the sounds all sound great there. In cutscenes gun fire in on time, loud, cars are loud, voices actually sound great. During the game voices sound like they're in 2x Stereo mode(come through all the speakers at once), gunfire and car engines are ridiculously quiet, and everything is delayed.
It's only this game and I've checked my setup, it's in 5.1 mode when I am playing, so it's not my settings. Everything just sounds so weird with the voices in 2x Stereo mode, all cars are apparently hybrids, and all guns have on silencers, but the music and crashes are at least normal.Last edited by canes21; 01-01-2012, 03:36 PM.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

SpoilerKillbane escapes, but everybody lived.
As far as the audio goes, I only really had trouble with the in-mission dialogue while driving or fighting. It was too low and could barely be heard over the other sound effects. I haven't played it on my surround sound, yet.
