re: Saints Row: The Third
I was expecting a somewhat believable game like the first one. It wasn't really the most realistic game like GTA IV, but the story and gameplay had just enough realism to be believable. That was all gone in SR2 and I enjoyed it a lot less because of that. It looks like this one is going to be even more wacky and that upsets me, but I'll more than likely have this day one, maybe at midnight too.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

I really enjoyed the second one for what it was. It is essentially the cartoon/Tex Avery version of GTA. It feels more like a successor to GTA3 than any of the GTA's that followed it.

re: Saints Row: The Third
Oh, I hope thats not true. Saints Row was an awesome game, 2 was a pretty god game. Not that sounds pretty dumb. This series has easily gotten worse and this is coming from one of the original game's biggest fan. Gat bobble heads, Saints sneakers and drinks? Really Volition....
smh
I personally loved both Saints Row's and I'm glad they are continuing the legacy of keeping the characters for all 3 titles. It's never been done in a game of this nature. Each GTA has a new story, same city, with different characters.
SR using same characters, brings in new ones, and adds to the previous stories. I love the idea of keeping the political and financial side real, its what anyone with city control would do.

"Refusing to kneel to the Syndicate, you take the fight to a new city"
I cant wait to explore the new city. The city of Stillwater in SR 2 had alot details, specific area sounds, and hidden places to explore. I'm sure Volition will build on that in SR 3.Comment

Game Informer Info:
- Same hero. Johnny Gat and Shaundi return too.
- Steelport is the name of the new city.
- Four gangs: Morning Star are "suit-wearing, chain-smoking European baddies straight out of a Bond film". The Luchadores, or "the muscle" are masked wrestlers that drive around in SUVs and deal drugs. The Deckers are "computer nerds" that deal with security and money laundering. The STAG Unit (Special Tactical Anti Gang Unit) are "tasked with riddling the streets of any gang," whether it be the Saints or Syndicate.
- New leveling system: Respect works exactly like XP, earn enough and you rank up giving you access to new perks and abilities to purchase.
- Weapons can be upgraded: scopes, grenade launchers, under-barrel shotguns, ect.
- You can tweak the cosmetics and performance of your car: spoilers, underglow, durability, torque, ect.
- Multiplayer has been removed, but co-op still remains.
- There's a new RC gun that shoots out an electronic bug that allows you to control vehicles, eventually upgradeable to control tanks and planes.
- Missions can be finished in multiple ways, for example you can blow up a tower, or lead a team in and take control of it, thus giving you a new base of operations.
- L1/LB is sprint, but also a modifier. Volition refers to as the "Awesome Button", because it can amplify almost any action you do - you can shorten car jacking to a dive kick through the window, sending the driver out the other side.
- Running Man like game show where you compete with other Syndicate featuring fire traps, weapon drops, mascots, and hyperactive Japanese announcers.
- Tank Mayhem places you into a tank and tasks you with destroying specific high value targets.
- Guardian Angel requires you to drive carefully around town as a tiger hangs out in the back seat. If you're playing in co-op, your partner must assault the tiger to keep him out of your hair.
- As opposed to the random nature of these activities in previous games, these Hijinks are tied to the Syndicate war. Mayhem missions reward you for taking out Syndicate property, and the goofier ones like Insurance Fraud and Guardian Angel are billed as training exercises to strengthen your character so can face the enemy without fear.

Wow, no multiplayer? That's a shocker.
Personally I don't care, but I'm really surprised they'd make a ballsy move like that.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

So, this game has animals? Maybe I'm just confused by the description.

It sounds like the scene from The Hangover.
