re: Saints Row: The Third
From what I heard from reviews the story is so outlandish it doesn't really matter.Comment

re: Saints Row: The Third
Wait? Neither of you have played a Saints Row game, yet your going to begin with The Third! That is the wrong way to play it!
The story lines tie in with one another! Start with the first one, otherwise the third game makes no sense to you!
They sell Saints Row 1&2 in a double pack for $25 to $30 bucks....Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

I made it to the first safe-house last night and those first couple of missions were a blast and hilarious.

re: Saints Row: The Third
Well I guess I'm a rare entity that plays it for the fun as well as the story...Because in Saints Row 3 they mention SR1 and SR2, etc. Even Julius....in which a lot of people wouldn't know who he is, if they didn't play part 1, or 2.
And so forth, I agree the story can do a lot of things.........But continuing to add on from the previous games is great. I guess I'm 1 in a million who can appreciate the substance on top of all the outrageous action...
I appreciate Saints Row for what it is as a series..Comment

EDIT: I just noticed CaptainZombie addressed that already. I'm not really apt to gaming on PC with just my laptop, so I'm going to have to go with what I have. For the most part, I won't ever neglect a game or movie series and their predecessors if there is some sort of story continuity (see Uncharted for games, Saw for movies, etc.). re: Saints Row: The Third
I bought the double pack back in spring. Played through a very small par of SR1, and finished SR2. SR1 didn't age well IMO, and I had more fun with SR2.Comment

I killed Julius too in the park...you catch Dex later on I think...someone said he might actually be in those download mission or in SR3, I can't remember....But I'm almost sure I killed him in SR2...it's been a year or two.Last edited by Behindshadows; 11-17-2011, 08:00 PM.Comment

re: Saints Row: The Third
I can tell there's a progressive story (from the very beginning of the prologue, in fact), and it's a shame that I don't know how we got to where we are. But SR1 and SR2 are on 360, which I don't have.
