Nope. They'll form a line and depending how long it is, some time before midnight they'll start letting people in the line fully pay it off. They'll form another line so once midnight hits you show them that receipt and get your game/go home so you don't gave everyone in line paying for the game when they receive it causing long waits after midnight.

It's been so long since I've done a Gamestop midnight release... do you have to be there in line at midnight, or could I go a bit later when the line has died down and pick up my copy?

I'd call and ask. Sounds like some are just a straight out line up.

Mine here in Minneapolis is doing it in groups. Starting at 9pm, we can go to the store and finalize the purchase. We then get assigned a group. We are free to leave. Then come back at midnight and they start with group one. Go in and get the game and get out. Goes really fast.

It's not the spoilers anymore that are dangerous in this thread, it's the motivation coming to do the midnight release coming from all that are giving in to it.

I wish I could say the same. My local GS said they had close to 1000 pre orders. Needless to say, I'll be camping out there so I can get in line early.

for u guys that decide to do the midnight release and lose an hour or two of sleep, trust me its well worth it. the game starts off with a bang.

These midnight releases are the only time I resent east coasters. It'll be 9pm here and those bastards will be picking up their copy.

Not sure if I'm willing to go wait in line myself or just send my son to go pick it up.

Well either way I'm sure glad as hell that I saw that post. Put in the install disc first and install it then the game play disc and play time, no install.

My gamestop always wants people there at 10 to pay off the balance and then they hand you a slip. At 12 they just hand them out at the door. They used to have 2 people go in the store at a time. Took forever. So I figure go there around 10, get my slip, go to Friday's(in the same shopping center) and go back around midnight instead of waiting in line for 2 hours.

I'm less than 10 mins from Wal Mart so I'll just make a trip up after 11 and scope it out. If it's too much hassle, I'll pick it up tomorrow.

I don't really want to **** with Gamestop tonight, even with a pre order.

I've only done WM midnight for one thing and this is going to be much more popular... not sure how hard it would be to grab a copy. I'm hoping everyone stays focused on GS.

Also debating on an afternoon nap.
