A guy who makes two witnesses "disappear" has his house demolished and what does he do? Offer the perpetrator the chance to repay him the cost of the house?!

Ummm... Waiting for the plot twist to justify that one. SMH.

These games are fun, and this one appears to be the pinnacle of the series at least in terms of scope, but I don't know. The writing seems to be on the wall, and it reads: Rockstar, you have been making the same game for a decade now, your empire won't last.

If a man owed you 2.5 million dollars, and he knows you have the ability to make people disappear. Seems like pretty good motivation to pay back what you are owed, especially since you could make his wife or kids disappear just as easily. Otherwise you're out the 2.5 million yourself.

And yes, it opens the door to some exciting events.

Ha. That is one way to put it for sure. Not to sound perverted or anything but I was a little surprised and disappointed that there's only one. At least the a I know of.

Yeah I bought life invader as well since it hit 3 bucks. Won't lose much if it drops, so why not. Also there are certain missions where the mission giver suggests you buy certain stock before or after completing the mission. Listen closely to the dialogue.

The safe houses could be better in this game, I wish you could eat, take showers, use the rest room, wash your face/brush your teeth, and take off your cloths in them. If I want to walk outside with my shirt off or in boxers only I should be able too.
I actually like Sleeping Dogs safe house's better because you can do more in them.

wow. just wow. i had flashbacks to 2002 playing Vice City for the first time last night.

GTA3 was good, but Liberty City was very dark and grey. Vice City was amazing...the colors, the motorcycles, the soundtrack, the story and cutscenes...all just blew me away.

Not that I didn't enjoy GTA4 but I always did feel like it was a little drab. I'm only 3 hours in but I was totally blown away last night. The graphics are awesome and the presentation is off the chains (as always from Rockstar).

Most of you guys are much further along than me. I think I've only finished 3 or 4 story missions. Right now Franklin being the only character available to me. Spent most of the 3+ hours looking around trying to take in my surroundings. Still a ton of area left to explore. My guess would be only around 20% of my map is revealed at the moment.

One funny encounter I had.

Driving along when I notice a blue dot pop up on the map. There was a man sitting in a gas truck while talking on his cell phone at a construction site. A half zone steal beams hanging above him on a crane come crashing down onto the truck. He starts screaming for help, so I hop into a bulldozer to remove them. Well, by the time I moved the city bus I parked blocking the gas truck in and figured on how to move the bulldozer up and down, enough gas had leaked to cause an explosion. The fire quickly spread over to the city bus and the bulldozer that I had quickly abandoned after the explosion.

Did not take long for the fire department to show up as I'm casually walking away from the scene. Sucks too because I could have really used the cash the guy was willing to pay for saving him.

The same exact barber? This didn't bother me til she showed up in Trevor's neck of the woods. No biggie, but would it have been much trouble to make three different looking barbers, one for each character.
