I'm struggling to identify which buildings I can enter to rob.

Anyone else have that problem or have a suggestion ? I've been stopping at different convenience stores and everything..

wow. just wow. i had flashbacks to 2002 playing Vice City for the first time last night.

GTA3 was good, but Liberty City was very dark and grey. Vice City was amazing...the colors, the motorcycles, the soundtrack, the story and cutscenes...all just blew me away.

Not that I didn't enjoy GTA4 but I always did feel like it was a little drab. I'm only 3 hours in but I was totally blown away last night. The graphics are awesome and the presentation is off the chains (as always from Rockstar).

Funny you mentioned that.

I thought GTA 4 sucked and a few hours in last night, all I was reminded of was the enjoyment I had while playing Vice City. It is great to have that feeling again in a GTA game.

One of my main gripes is the combat system is still "eh" to me.

Yep. Would have been nice if they lifted a poor man's version of Sleeping Dogs or the Arkham games for the combat.

I do wish there was a "fast walk" button. Sometimes I just want to walk around the city and take it in. The walking is a little too slow, and the jogging is a little too fast for pace I want.

You know it's an awesome game when the speed of the characters' walking is near the top of your complaints list

My favorite mission so far:

Trevor getting pissed that the O'Brien brothers got the Chinese meth business. Jumping in the truck to drive out to their farm. Trevor getting pissed at the station that was on and switching it over to TSOL. Sniping all the guys outside. Blowing through the house with a shotgun. Dumping gas from the basement out the front door and casually walking away as the thing blew up behind him.

I almost stood up for a round of applause after that cutscene.

Count me in the group not impressed with the radio station offerings. From what I've heard so far the pop station is where I'll surprisingly be spending most of my time. Still have yet to listen to talk radio, though. That always delivers. Expect no different this time around.

I thought I read a tip on the game that you can replay missions. Has anyone tried replaying a heist? Do you get the proceeds from the second heist?

Another question. My blimp paper tells me to activate it through the ps store but my buddy said he put his in through his phone. Could we have received different directions?

I didn't enjoy GTA IV either but am loving this one. First time in along while I've enjoyed a game this much actually. A nice way to go out this gen and really has me exited for what is to come next gen.

I thought this mission was an amazing glimpse into how mentally disturbed Trevor is. My favorite part about this was going through the house with the shotgun. Trevor's special intensifies blood effects for some reason so you felt like a complete badass tearing through that house. Loved it.

I downloaded mine from the PS store but in-game you call it in with your cell. It's in your Contacts.

I had some great video game moments last night. This could be considered a spoiler so...

I like getting the older cars like big, rust Cadillacs etc. I got one last night and drove up to Vinewood. While in the hills I saw a tractor so I pulled over and proceeded to pull the driver over and take it. First, he had suspenders on and a big old gut. I rip him out and he quickly gets up and pulls me back out. The way it all played out was so funny. I ended up getting it back but the police showed up and surrounded me.

There I was in a tractor surrounded by 3 or 4 cop cars. I wish I could have taken a picture.

That would have been amazing. The hand to hand combat just feels outdated and looks kind of stupid.

And "stealth" mode? Do they always just give that chop to the back of the neck or whatever? Seems like the guy you sneak up on turns right when you hit them.

For all the things R* gets right, combat is one that they need to greatly improve.
