      Re: Grand Theft Auto V

Popped in this game and played for about 40 minutes. I must first say that I'm not super impressed with the graphics. I mean don't get me wrong, environments are sweet and everything, but I think for me next-gen screams much louder with 60 FPS and anti-aliasing up the gut. That's okay though, the game already looked good... but I don't think people can sit here and pretend that 60 FPS doesn't mean anything around here. That said, this was already a great game and I can't wait to jump back into it more when I have free time again!

Now for the real reason I'm posting... Remote Play. I'm telling you, an adage in life should be "Just because you can, means you should." Rockstar didn't undermine the RP players with their control scheme and settings, and this game looks drop-dead gorgeous when playing on the Vita! The lag is there, but it is oh-so-playable! FPV or 3PV, doesn't matter. I can see myself wasting a lot of hours downstairs playing this game if I'm not in my bedroom. Remote Play is one of the biggest reasons I own a PS4, and I think they really nailed it here. Ya'll should give it a shot, it's no cheapy whatsoever.

Also stoked to play more FPV with this game in general. Targeting isn't as easy as most games, but I'm still going to play around with the sensitivity settings and see what's best for me.

I installed the game to completion, the intro story mode cut scene started and I closed application.

I'll finish up the rest and do the online character transfer tomorrow morning.

        Soon... Very soon.

Wait, what? You can play this through the Vita?

One thing I wish is that Rockstar rereleased this with new missions or heists to give it that extra selling point it needs. I'll get this eventually, I just can't really justify it right now. It doesn't feel like there's enough there yet to pay $60 for a shinier version of a game I just bought last year (and beat a few months ago).

I feel like most games I've bought the first day (that had pre-order bonuses) have done that. And this is the first time I've bought one from Target. Maybe I've just been lucky and always happen to go where they have a bunch of extra pre-order copies. Or maybe just all of the copies in their first batch have the bonuses so they don't mistakenly give someone who did preorder a copy that doesn't have the bonus lol.

Yup. Activate Remote Play through the Vita then BAM! It's nice because R3 and L3 automatically are on the bottom front of the touch screen and the entire rear touchpad make up R1 and L1, then the triggers work for aiming, shooting, driving, etc.

The only control change I don't agree with in the PS4 version in general is the handbrake only being R1 and not X, which is now ducking in your vehicle (maybe to protect yourself from being shot or stop from flying out of your vehicle?). Either way I need that to be different.

The soundtrack is so noticeably better. Like lightyears what it was before. Its soo good that I left my avatar idle and he started bobbing to the music.

Btw them moving the handbrake off of X is messing with my driving so much.

Btw I transferred my save and got 500K in the bank out of nowhere. Did rockstar give money away in the past?

They gave a $500K stimulus package around a month after online released because of all of the issues with it when it originally dropped.

I like the little additions. Hearing the phone calls through the controller is nice. I noticed the LED light on the front of the controller changes color based on what character you are. i.e. Green for Franklin.

In previous gen was there a way to turn lights on and off like with next gen? I don't remember being able to do that.
