Re: Grand Theft Auto V
I still have not really left 1st person since getting the game. I knew it would be fun, but it somehow blew my expectations away. Everything looks 10x more hilarious in 1st person and the game looks clean enough that it holds a great level of immersion.
Last night my buddy and I were doing a mission and we had shot the guy out of a car we needed, but had cops on us. I tried getting out of the car, but he was not looking in my direction, but just straight back(we were both in 1st Person) and he hit reverse right when I was getting out. So I was stuck pinned against a door in first person just getting dragged 100 feet or so down the road watching all of the cops get further and further away along with the target car. It's something that is pretty funny in 3rd person when it happens, but nothing that great. When it happens in 1st person, or any type of accident for that matter, I think it is so much better overall and I couldn't stop laughing.
Another thing that happened only because we were in 1st was we were driving our cars up a hill side to overlook the city from the East and I couldn't really see over the hood of my car. So all of a sudden when I started leveling out I noticed he was stopped and out of his car. It was too late though as I just plowed through the back of his car. Missed his character, but his car and I went down the hillside a few hundred yards and he was left just on top of a hill with no ride near him anymore. I feel like that is another thing that just isn't as funny in 3rd because I would have seen the car and it would have never happened accidentally in that case.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Perhaps there is a configuration item I missed but one thing I am not liking about the 1st person view is that every time I try to move forward in 1st person view I find my character breaks out into a run. When in 3rd person view I need to press my controller's 'X' button to run. But in 1st person view the character always appears to run without pressing the 'X' button.
Besides that I am loving driving in 1st person. However I am not a fan of the dark motorcycle visors on the helmets while driving at night. Of course wearing a dark visor in the real world is also not the brightest thing to do.Comment

Did you switch to standard fps controlling? Pushing down on left stick is sprint.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
I think he is talking about where in 1st person your character will jog when you push the stick up all the way. To walk you just have to push up a little. I believe that is the case regardless if A or LS is your sprint button. Mine is LS and that is how it works.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Yeah I have noticed the same running animation while in FP mode on foot; however, when pressing the run button at the time you go even faster, it definitely feels weird! A partial move of the left stick does make a slower forward movement, so I guess all the way forward is the jog? Then you press the run button to sprint

Re: Grand Theft Auto V
Does anyone know if they put the map/mission editor thingy in to the PS4 version? It's been in the last gen versions for several months now, just curious....
