In the latest Future Shop flyer this week, they have narrowed down the Grand Theft Auto V release in an ad that allows you to save $20 on GTA V with a pre-order of Max Payne 3.
The date is listed as ‘Winter 2012′, meaning that the game will most likely be released at the end of October or November. Rockstar just has to figure out which game they want to release their game against in those months since there is a huge AAA game every week in October and the beginning of November, save for the week of October 9th, which is now our guess for the GTA V release date.

                Recent Rockstar release dates:

GTA IV - April 29 (almost May)
                Red Dead - May
                LA Noire - May
                Max Payne 3 - May

My guess for GTAV? Yah, I'm going with May 2013

Lately yeah, but before GTA IV they always released GTA games around October/November.

That said, I'm pretty sure Future Shop has shown wrong release dates before.

I'll believe that both Max Payne is coming up on it's scheduled date and Grand Theft Auto comes out on it's scheduled date when either one of them are in my hands. It took 15-years (exaggerating) for Max Payne 3 to finally seem like it was here, I won't be surprised if Grand Theft Auto 5 is the same way.

Apparently, and I'm just saying this because I read it earlier today, it's been said that Grand Theft Auto 5 has already been delayed until December.

Just to back up BlueNGold as well:

Grand Theft Auto III - October 22nd
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - October 27th
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - October 26th

                      Re: Grand Theft Auto V

Rockstar might reveal the release date of their highly anticipated game Grand Theft Auto 5 sooner than expected.
As most major game companies are waiting until June's E3 video game conference make major announcements, Rockstar could break the trend and release details for a GTA 5 October 23 launch.

According to Wedbush Securities video game analyst Michael Pachter, Rockstar will skip E3 s they've done in past years.
"They've outgrown the show. I think they're way too cool to go. My read on those guys is they like stealing the thunder from everything else," said Pachter in an interview with GTTV.
"So if I had to bet, I'd say you'd get an announcement on GTA 5 the day before E3 starts, that'd be Monday, June 4. They don't show up and that's all anybody can do is talk about GTA 5 at the show."
"I know that's too close to BioShock Infinite...I don't think the Rockstar guys care about a 2K game. My read on those guys, is they like stealing the thunder from everybody else."
Pachter continued saying that he predicts the GTA 5 title will hit stores October 23.
Since Rockstar released the first official trailer in late 2011, fans eagerly awaited for the latest news regarding Rockstar's GTA series.
There were also leaked maps which showcases the game's location setting of Los Santos and Vinewood, a stylized version of Hollywood in Los Angeles. Fans will most likely be able to explore beyond the realm of San Andreas with new vehicles and possibly aircrafts.
Gamers have also learned that Rockstar plans to use its online service platform called Social Club to allow crossover multiplayer with GTA 5 and Max Payne 3. Players can create crews from Max Payne 3 game and will be able to play them on GTA 5's multiplayer mode. The new feature will create a 'deeper and richer' gaming experience within an immersive collaborative playing environment. Developers will be working hard to integrate the two games and making the transition of crews as smooth as possible.

It would be an understatement to say I'd be surprised if GTAV made a 2012 release. April or May of next year seems much more probable. I understand the desire to push the release right around Holiday buying season, but this game ought to sell well enough regardless of when it is released.

Also a spring release allows it to stand out--the holiday season is always so saturated with game releases.

Normally I'd agree 100% with this, but I don't believe that any GTA title needs to worry about standing out from the crowd, regardless of how saturdated the market is with quality games.

                              *Rumor*
Someone on GTAForums.com pried apart the files inside Max Payne 3 and found a vehicle list shot through with callbacks to past makes and models from the Grand Theft Auto series.

There is an enormous thread going on both there and on NeoGAF, about the subject. Noting that this isn't the first time Rockstar Games has included source files representing assets found in other games, both sites are buzzing with speculation that this gives up details in Grand Theft Auto V.

As to that: "Skimobile" and "Chairlift" would indicate something taking place in the snow. There was a "Cablecar" in San Andreas of course. But 10 helicopter varieties are listed, as well as — gasp! — the Faggio 2! I expect the successor to GTA's iconic motor scooter to be mentioned during the E3 keynote.
